It's Been Almost a Year! - NO, it's now been two years!

Update: I have now been participating in SP for two years. Looking back at last year (see 2nd paragraph), I am sorry to say I have fallen down on the job. However, I have also returned because I know my SP friends will encourage me instead of beat me up! I have joined SparkCoach because I know I need that accountability. I have gained most of my weight loss back, but not all of it, for that I am grateful. One day at a time will get me back on track, and I know with the help of so many ...

It was a real shock to realize I have been participating in SparkPeople for almost a year. As I reviewed what I've been doing, I recognized that I do need a renewal in my commitment. I have set new goals, listed my plan to acheive the goals, and committed to myself and my Lord that I will stay accountable to doing what I have listed. While I had hoped to lose 52 lbs and did not succeed, I have decided I am still successful because I lost 27 lbs, did not gain weight, and did start taking baby steps on exercise and walking which I had never done. So I may not be one of the ones who move rapidly through this, but I am still happy with me because I am keeping on instead of giving up:)

Long Term Goals:
*Lose 77.5 pounds by Feb. 27, 2014
*Begin a walking program

My Program:
1-Join Spark Coach
2-Carry a small notebook to log food when I can't track on SP.
3-Measure portions twice a month to be sure I am maintaining accurate sizes.
4.Walk 30 min a day 4 days a week
5-Strenth train 3 days a week
6-Remember to have annual tests done

Personal Information:
I am a Christian who is truly blessed. God has given me a great life! I usually don't give out personal info unless I know someone, but I have just given the most important info about me.
I have a great husband and sons who are an encouragement to me on this journey.

Other Information:
I love to read for relaxation, or information, or anything else. My husband tells people I'll read anything, but that's not true:) I haven't read the dictionary or the encyclopedia from cover to cover.
I'm taking a course on writing for children which I really enjoy.

Thank you for the rainbow! I loved it. My mom LOVED rainbows and her favorite song was "over the Rainbow". So every time I see one I am reminded that my mom is watching over me. Thank you. AND yes, Spring is slowly working it's way here! (51 more days)

LOL I was in total panic mode when I realized no TV or Internet. I went out and bought an Air Antenna so I could watch TV for the time I was down. Only got 13 channels but it beat no TV. I have watched all my DVDs too many times.

Walk in wisdom this day. Pure wisdom leaves us with no question about whether it is a good thing to do.
Walk in wisdom this day, for wise decision, thoughts and actions bring peace to us.
Walk in wisdom, which practices gentleness even with oneself. Be good to you today.
Walk in wisdom, practicing sound reason in all things you face today.
Walk in wisdom that is full of mercy. Wisdom understands who we are, where we are, and the challenge faced in getting where we are going. It does not give a beat down, but lifts up off the ground.

“Then Jesus again spoke to them, saying, ‘I am the Light of the world; he who follows Me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the Light of life’” ~ John 8:12, NASB.

John 8:12 is the passage God has given me as a life-goal for 2015. As I seek Him for a New Year’s BLESSing for you, it seems good to pray that you will have all the Light needed for the path ahead, dispelling all darkness, and giving you the light of day for each step ahead. Happy 2015!
