A year ago I posted the end part of this. That is still accurate. However, lately I have strongly felt the need to be INTENTIONAL about my program. Yesterday, for the first time, I was able to eat very little all day. I ate a healthy supper and managed to stay a bit below my calorie range. The idea is I am considering fasting on the 5-2 plan before long. At one time, there was no way I could have gone all day on under 300 calories. I would have had a major headache. Mindset seems to have a lot to do with that. So, here I go, trying something different to me in order to find what is the best for my journey!
August, 2010, I joined SparkPeople. That's almost 6 years ago!! I have not worked as hard as I could have at losing my weight, but have worked harder than I would have on my own. The biggest help I have found is joining Biggest Loser Challenges. While the teams have been so supportive and encouraging, the friendship I have found has been amazing to me. I would not have believed I could feel so close and concerned for people I have never met IRL! Now it's time for me to get serious about bringing my weight under control, my lifestyle onto the track I want for it, and my life in the direction it needs to be so I can serve my Lord to my best.
*Track food consistently
*Walk 5 times a week and strength train 3 times a week.
Long Term Goals:
*Lose 25 pounds by Nov. 29, 2016 (That means I should weigh 173 on my next birthday.)
*Continue a walking program
*Become more outgoing
1-Measure portions twice a month to be sure I am maintaining accurate sizes.
2.Walk 30 min a day 4 days a week
3-Strength train 3 days a week
4-Remember to have annual tests done
I am a Christian who is truly blessed. God has given me a great life! I usually don't give out personal info unless I know someone, but I have just given the most important info about me.
I have a great husband and sons who are an encouragement to me on this journey.
I love to read for relaxation, or information, or anything else. My husband tells people I'll read anything, but that's not true:) I haven't read the dictionary or the encyclopedia from cover to cover.

I receive much wise counsel through the Holy Bible. Scripture is full of wisdom for all, whether they are a believer or not. Here is the wisdom I receive today as I prepare for April's focus on developing a willingness that makes me able to succeed:
Isaiah advises us, "For thus the Lord God, the Holy One of Israel, has said, 'In repentance and rest you will be saved, In quietness and trust is your strength.' But you were not willing" ~ Isaiah 30:15.
We miss out on good things in life when we are unwilling to cooperate in doing what is needful for achieving the good we desire. God through Isaiah tells us that our consenting to cooperate with laws, rules, guidelines, etc., leads to our eating "the best of the land" (Isaiah 1:18-20). Willingness to do what we must for what we want is a necessary mindset for overcoming temptation and the failure to achieve. Develop a willingness to do what it takes within the boundaries of what is good, right, and true, and you will go far in life.
"If anyone is willing to do His will, he will know of the teaching, whether it is of God or whether I speak from Myself" ~ John 7:17.
