Thanks for reading my blog...and sorry for the confusion. my mind is not back to normal yet...nor is my body. I wish there was a way to know for sure how helpful the walk/run is. I did a lot better with this marathon than I did with my first one....but is it really because of the walk breaks...who knows? I will work on not losing any time in the last 3 miles and once I do that I will let you know how it's done. :-)

I am running the Nova Scotia Marathon. Starts in Barrington we run to a causeway, cross onto an island (cape sable island) and we do a figure 8 type run finishing across the causeway on the main land. I don't expect it to be hot, although 2 years ago it was way hotter than normal. We run ocean side for a lot of the run, so the breeze tends to be cool even on a hot day. So far the deer flies are not to bad, but I have not gone running on any trails. last year on the trails they were unbearable...so far I haven't dared ventured out there. The trail is the old rail road... so it's not very exciting anyway. gail

Thanks for the comment. (I don't know how much I would've enjoyed the training if I'd done as many miles as you though. Of course, winter training is less comfortable in Ontario.)

so you are not happy with your marathon time, that's a shame, but your race was a challenging one. I dropped in to see if you had a blog about the race, but I didn't find one. all for now. g ail
