Wow, never thought I would reach this point...after all the work and determination I put into losing well over a hundred pounds a few years ago, I've gained it all back and then some! Suffice it to say, I got on the scale at the doctor's office a few weeks ago and had to face the sobering truth - I am at my highest weight ever. My joints are suffering, my legs are swollen all the time and it is once again difficult to find clothes (and furniture and restaurant ...

Wow, never thought I would reach this point...after all the work and determination I put into losing well over a hundred pounds a few years ago, I've gained it all back and then some! Suffice it to say, I got on the scale at the doctor's office a few weeks ago and had to face the sobering truth - I am at my highest weight ever. My joints are suffering, my legs are swollen all the time and it is once again difficult to find clothes (and furniture and restaurant booths, etc) that fit my expanded body.

Here are the plans I have for the rest of this year:

1. Focus on my Scottie every moment that I can.

2. Restart my walking and strength training routines.

3. Control my portions and wean myself off the candy and comfort foods that have been my staples for the last 8 months. (No food is completely forbidden, but restraint is essential for my health.)

4. Drink more water!
