Rewind, Replay... but I'm choosing to change the Ending.

"I know it sounds selfish, but this is my story!" - Final Fantasy X

Yes, I just started this with a geek quote. I love that quote (and game, FTR my one cat is named Yuna), for all the multi-purposes your can use it in your life. I think it fits well here.

Back in 2012 I ran my first Full Marathon. I weighed the least I have in years (153 at one point). I was healthy, happy, and striving for myself. What do all of these things have in common?

Yes, I just started this with a geek quote. I love that quote (and game, FTR my one cat is named Yuna), for all the multi-purposes your can use it in your life. I think it fits well here.

Back in 2012 I ran my first Full Marathon. I weighed the least I have in years (153 at one point). I was healthy, happy, and striving for myself. What do all of these things have in common?

It was one of the few times in my life I was selfish. I made goals for myself. I did things because they made me happy. I cancelled plans if they got in my way. I didn't eat a piece of birthday cake because a coworker would be offended if I didn't. I didn't skip my run because my Mom needed me to come over and do something. (I know, I sound so high and mighty, but bear with me)

Ironically, this has always been my biggest struggle. I am not an unselfish person... in any context. I will always put others needs/wants/requests before my own. And I need to stop doing that. Because in order to take care of others I need to say Yes to myself, first. For my health.

I have officially gained back all my weight. My heart rate no longer is something to strive for. I am currently wearing a pair of my husband's pants (because even my fat pants are tight).

One baby step, one mini goal and one day at a time. Because I can do it. I did it before, and I will do it again, and this time, I'll change the ending. Because it's my story. And I don't like this chapter, so time to choose my own adventure.

- Current best Marathon time (WDW January 8, 2012) - 4:29:22

- Lose 10% of 177 = 160.9

- Lose 10% of 146.2 = 132.9

My Program:
- I have been training for a half marathon (my 6th, I think) in Victoria and really want to finish under 2:15.

- Finishing BLC 26 with my Freggie streak in tact - 6 Freggies at least 5 days a week. No excuses.

- Strength Training, 2 x a week minimum.

Hey Jen! 6 weeks sounds about right :) Why not? If you're gonna do it then do it right. I hope you brought back some awesome memories as the pics imply. Things here are good. Today kicks off the start of the Fall 5% challenge and I'm really confused by the scale this morning. I mean I'm down but have little idea why as I only recently brought eating and exercise back in line. Hope you post a few more when time allows. Have a great weekend.
