Hi! I'm Ashley. I joined Sparkpeople back in 2007 after talking to a dietitian at my college wellness center. With the support of other Sparkers, along with finding a fitness routine that worked for me and eating the right foods and portions, I got down to my lowest weight since high school (137 lbs) for my wedding in 2011. Annnd, then my weight went right back up. I'm ready to find my happy weight and work on maintaining it by restoring the necessary balance in my life once again.

To sustain a healthy lifestyle full of good choices, occasional indulgences and fitness!
Drink less caffeine and consume more water.
Working out 4-5 times a week.
Doing a fun workout activity on the weekends (i.e. tennis, swimming, etc.).
Keeping my calories in check at least 4 days a week. Making sound, balanced choices throughout the week.
I live in Sarasota, FL. I have a loving family, friends, and a very supportive husband. Fun fact: I like to wear tie dye shirts when I work out because I feel like all the colors give me good energy.
Faves: reading, nature, art, photography, writing, alternative medicine, sparkling flavored water, happiness, my love, my fam, my friends, getting lost in my thoughts, trees, turtles, beach at night, my hometown, simple food recipes, wine, dancing downtown with my girls, jam sessions, challenges, acoustic music and folkie artists , KARAOKE!
Weaknesses: French fries, mashed potatoes, potatoes in general, milk chocolate, peanut butter, crab cakes, chicken parm, grilled chicken sandwiches, my dog's begging look, sales racks, bargain or used books, sleeping in on rainy days, and Vanilla lattes

Thanks for the welcome back! YES, I am back for real this time lol. I've kicked it into high gear and have some awesome motivation. I can't believe how fast it's coming off. This community really helps! How are you hun? You look great :) What's new around here?

Hey Ash!! I'm having a great week, how about you?
I've been a little MIA this week.. I wasn't able to get Spark to load at work, but now it's finally working (although suuuper slow) so hopefully I can get back to my regular creeping sooner rather than later.
How are you doing with your goals for this week? My biggest thing right now is eating. I'm in a great routine with exercise, but the eating is definitely numero uno on this journey and mine isn't terrible but could definitely stand to improve. So that's my focus for now. I hope you're having a good week. Happy Thursday!!

OK. So, what is this barre class? There's one not far from me, and I have heard that people have lost crazy amounts of weight from it! :) Glad you are enjoying it!!
