Enjoy the Ride

Hi, my name is Bonnie. This is my third time to join Spark People and I have just celebrated a whole year this time at the end of May 2015. A couple weeks later I hit 100 pounds lost! Then mid August I entered onederland for the first time as an adult! This is definitely a lifestyle change, I truly can't even imagine going back to the way it was for me before.

Then mid August I entered onederland for the first time as an adult! This is definitely a lifestyle change, I truly can't even imagine going back to the way it was for me before.

A little about me: I am 26 years old and I babysit my nephews, who just turned 4 and 3 years old this summer, for 4-5 days a week and a total of 45-50+ hours while my brother works.

My exercise plan: I do Leslie Sansone's Walk Away the Pounds DVDs, walking videos from on demand, and either Biggest Loser Cardio Max DVD or kickboxing workouts. Lately I've been having foot issues so have cut back a lot on walking related workouts. I also joined my local gym and am LOVING using the elliptical again as well as the upright stationary bike, and am learning more about strength training using the machines there. Now that it's summer, I have found I can be active outdoors longer and do more than I did even last fall. I have more energy and endurance/stamina than I did then and it is so refreshing! I love having a higher quality of life in day-to-day living.

My brother, nephews, and I live with my mom and stepdad in a small two bedroom house and it is very cramped. It can also be very stressful a lot of the time as I sleep in the living room. My sleep is interrupted pretty often and there is no such thing as privacy, but I try to keep my head up as much as I can.
---------
Some of my 2014 achievements:

808 miles walked, indoors and outdoors
over 16,000 fitness minutes (in seven months)
60 pounds lost!
10 BMI points dropped

~~~~~~
My 2015 Fitness Goals:
*1200 miles walked/ran, either outside or inside
*Get into running for real (working on that)
*Try two other new exercises, examples like zumba/other dancing & bike riding--- already tried stationary bikes for the first time and ellipticals again after years of not using them but will count this as ONE new exercise and not two lol
*Train for the RunDisney half marathon in May 2016! I will be running it!
*Run a 10K if possible (with my feet)
*Practice hiking in the fall if possible with my feet, for my dream of hiking in the national parks in the next couple years!
