Enjoy the Ride

Hi, my name is Bonnie. This is my third time to join Spark People and I have just celebrated a whole year this time at the end of May 2015. A couple weeks later I hit 100 pounds lost! This is definitely a lifestyle change, I truly can't even imagine going back to the way it was for me before.

A little about me: I am 26 years old and I babysit my nephews, who will be turning 4 and 3 soon, for 4-5 days a week for a total of 45-50+ hours while my brother works.

My exercise plan: I do Leslie Sansone's Walk Away the Pounds DVDs, walking videos from on demand, and either Biggest Loser Cardio Max DVD or kickboxing workouts. Now that it's summer, I have found I can be active outdoors longer and do more than I did even last fall. I have more energy and endurance/stamina than I did then and it is so refreshing! I love having a higher quality of life in day-to-day living.

My brother, nephews, and I live with my mom and stepdad in a small two bedroom house and it is very cramped. It can also be very stressful a lot of the time as I sleep in the living room. My sleep is interrupted pretty often and there is no such thing as privacy, but I try to keep my head up as much as I can.
---------
Some of my 2014 achievements:

808 miles walked, indoors and outdoors
over 16,000 fitness minutes (in seven months)
60 pounds lost!
10 BMI points dropped

~~~~~~
My 2015 Fitness Goals:
*1200 miles walked/ran, either outside or inside
*Get into running for real (working on that)
*Try two other new exercises, examples like zumba/other dancing & bike riding
*Maybe work up to a 10K or 10 mile walking distance at one time for working towards walking a half marathon in 2016
Hiya Bonnie! Thank you for stopping by to comment on my blog, and I totally agree with you about absorbing all the info I can during this journey. I do love to read others' blogs about how they're maintaining, and it makes me feel better that YES, it is possible to maintain, and not drive yourself crazy in the process, haha. I appreciate your view of the scale; I shall try to do that as well, and look at the scale like 'meh, whatever.' Hope you have a great week!
