Progress, not perfection...

I am 58 years young, married 25 years, mom to 2 daughters and grandma to 2 girls and a boy. I've struggled with my weight for most of my life. I lost 45 pounds on WW years ago and am a lifetime member. I now have over 100 pounds to lose. I am definitely an emotional eater.

Too many years have gone by where my weight has held me back. I have a lot of health issues because I haven't cared enough about myself to do anything about them. I'm ready to take back my life and gain control! ...

My husband is retired, I am a Certified Medical Assistant but not currently working. Would love to feel better and get a part-time job. We like to take our two greyhounds, Roxie and Sophie with us when we go camping.

I've been a quilter for over 35 years. I have a lot of sewing machines - from a longarm machine to several treadles that I use. I am thankful my daughters sew and quilt. We gave our 6 year old granddaughter a sewing machine for her birthday and I taught her how to sew. She's a natural! I'm thrilled to be passing on the sewing gene to a younger generation.

Sounds like you are wise to ourself with that fridge quote.

I love quilting too, although I've only made a couple. My favorite quilts are the Amish style ones with the designs made with hand stitching. If I had the time I's make a solid color quilt with art nouveau motifs. Probably won't be happening anytime soon.

Best wishes on starting to feel netter.

I'm so glad to hear that you're passing on the sewing bug to another generation. When I was younger it seemed that everyone could sew, now not so many. Kind of sad.
