I'm a Bold Font Beauty.

My name is Julie. I am a 22-year-old Business Economics major from Upstate New York.

For as long as I can remember, I have always been "the fat girl" amongst my friends. Due to a lot of horrible and unexplained pain, I quit all sports and resigned myself to sleeping a lot. Depression and emotional eating only made things worse. When I was diagnosed with Interstitial Cystitis at the age of 17, I was relieved that there was an explanation for what was going on with my body. But I ...

But I have spent the time since then living in terror over the way I was destroying my body from eating poorly and not exercising.

Recently I have decided to take back control of my own body. I will no longer stand to be in constant pain. I cannot keep avoiding parties with my friends. I want to buy a little black dress and have it be just that - little. I want to stop being afraid of falling in love and stop worrying about losing my love over my poor health. I want to play tennis again. I want to be able to lift my huge boxes of books so I can sort them. I want to walk my dog for a few miles instead of a few minutes. I want to be taken seriously. I want to be happy, and I am hoping to find the support to help me get there.

Stay within recommended calorie/carb/fat/protein ranges for one week... and then keep on doing it!

My Program:
Right now, I am currently keeping track of what I eat through SparkPeople and with the help of my next-door neighbour who is a nutritionist. I also walk a LOT, preferably 30 min/day at least.

I've only just started but I'm really liking it. Trying to steal some music off my friend's hard drive as we speak to get me some good tunes! :-)

Today is my rest day so I'm off to university then gonna relaaax all day. Probably read and paint my wall in my room. Got any suggestions of books? I have a very huge reading list. Finished 1984 over the summer and thought the book was amazing and so well written. And very politically relevant for now...
I dunno what news channels you watch or anything but this is a really wonderful news channel : democracynow.org

I don't live in the U.S so normally in the UK I read 'The Guardian'. If you check out their website they have this cool selection of the 'World in Pictures, 24 Hours' and it's pictures from all around the world in the last 24 hours.

Bah. Thatss all I got. Just thought I'd let you know some other things I do... Hope alls well with you. I hope you get better.... :-( How's it going today?

Hey there. Yeah kind of all at the same time. I feel they all complement each other really well...philosophical and finding out about evolution and religion. so how's it going? How are you doing?
