I've been Sparking on and off for two years now, in fits and starts. Overall, I feel I'm better off, but lots of room for improvement!

I've been so blessed to be able to use the information here to put one foot in front of the other and keep going toward changing my life and health for the better. On we go! ...

With each of my beautiful, precious, three daughters came a few extra pounds that have stubbornly refused to leave me. I love them all dearly (the girls, not the pounds), but it's real hard to focus on 'me' for even five minutes in any given day. Still, I persevere.

My Goals:
A more balanced life, where my family learns that they mean the world to me, but I am worth being valued as well.

Lose 50 lbs.

I am working one Sparkpeople challenge at a time. Taken up running, and am exploring other fitness options. Using the Sparkpeople tracker for nutrition and meeting other goals I've set for myself. Staying active in the Sparkpeople community.

Other Information:

Hi Shelly,
I just started the Clean 21-day detox - day 3! I added you as a Sparkfriend in case you need a Clean-buddy. I know I do ;)
I'm hungry. I dont know if I'm snacking too much. I do keep it clean, today for lunch I had a big bowl of veggie quinoa, and for snacks a pear, large handful of almonds and later a small bowl of fresh fruit. If I'm hungry before bed like last night, I had a 6oz cup of chocolate almond milk (w/unsweetended cocoa and stvia). I hope I'm not snacking too much :(
I came here so I could start tracking what I'm eating and watch my caloric intake to make sure I dont eat too much,
