Lee ( BOPPY_ )

I'm a 66 year old married male who lives in New Hampshire.

I had lost 101 lbs in 80 weeks before joining SparkPeople. (I started with another program at 306 pounds, and was 205, when I joined SP.)

In 19 weeks, I've lost 19 more pounds on SparkPeople, and have found the people and resources great. I've got about another 11 to lose.

When I joined SparkPeople, my goal was 180 lbs; after computing my current BMI, I've changed my goal weight to 175.

BTW, "Boppy" is what my Grandson started calling me when he was 2 years old. He's now 9. He dubbed, my wife, Beth, "Mimi", about the same time. He still calls us by these names, today. And, so we shall both be known by the family ...

Pet peeves: censorship and wading through religious blather (pardon the redundancy) to get to any topic!

Note: I've HAVE NOT achieved my walking goal without the back surgery, so now I must reevaluate my goal.

I'll have you know, Mr. Nosy-Lee (teehee) that after my Workout B (deadlift day) I do intervals. And starting next week I have the evil body weight matrix every other workout as well.

And... while I'm strength training, I am absolutely huffing and puffing and sweating. It's not like I'm just sitting there lifting my 3 lb dumbbells. I'm working it.

But... my favorite race is in July. I ran the 5K twice, and the 10K last year (didn't lose any weight - and my back just got worse, too), and so I'm thinking about how I need to train for the 5K again this year. I have a little under 2 months which is plenty of time.

Thanks for the goodie and the comment on my salt blog. I'm rarely offended and take your comment as a compliment as it pretty much means I work hard, which I do.

Have a Sparkin' Day! emoticon
