Here's To Health!

Hi, everyone. I am a blues singer from Boston, MA, and I'm grateful I get to do what I love...and be paid for it to boot! Music is my religion and the center of my world. It keeps me going on good days, bad days and in between. I can't imagine my life without it. I'm all about finding the right balance of good food, exercise, sleep, wellness and peace. My Goals:
What I'm working toward now:

Getting into the "healthy" weight range for my height (I'm 5'3" so it's between 104-141 lbs).

My Program:
1. 300 or more mins. of exercise/week. Combo of strength training & cardio. Strength train 2-3 days/week; moderate-high intensity cardio at least 3 days/week.

2. Eat real food & choose the healthy route most of the time. Live the 80-20 rule: "Because while you should always aim to eat healthy most of the time, aiming for about 80% of the time gives you that wiggle room every sane person needs to still enjoy themselves."

3. Check in to SparkPeople each day & blog re: how things are going. This helps me stay accountable & get the encouragement I need.

Personal Information:
I'm a blues singer from Cambridge, MA. I am very lucky to be able to pursue my passion in life (music). I love to bike and I use my bike as my primary mode of transport. I enjoy good food/wine as well as cooking for friends and family. I believe in the law of attraction and that positivity attracts positive results. I consider myself a student in the school of life and enjoy learning something new each day.

You are emoticon !! emoticon Thanks so much for that sweet comment! I needed that! I am too hard on myself sometimes even more so now because I use to work out 6 days a week, sometimes a back to back class/workout. I'm find it hard to do these days..even just 4 days. I really don't know what's wrong with me. I think I'm just tired of myself. I need to work on my own self love. :-) thanks again! emoticon

yeah! I love them on a good day! That and squats are my fave. Probably why I hurt my back. I went too heavy when I shouldn't have. But oh well! I am feeling better now and just trying not to overdo it and listen to my body. :)

Thanks for stopping by my blog. Hoping the 2 weeks of antibiotics does the trick. My own fault for waiting so long, kept thinking it was just allergies!
Have a great weekend!
