My New Life in a new Community

I have been a member for a couple years now under Bgailsews but lost all my teams, pages and everything else I had saved. So this is truely a 'starting over' day and it will take a while to get it all set up again. I was panicing over losing all my Spark Friends but I found you all again. Bear with me!

My Goals:
Goals are not easy to keep but they are a reminder. I am eating more fruits and fresh vegetables (lots of salads w/LowFat Ranch Dressing. I very seldom fry chicken, although it is my very favorite. Red meat is not my favorite so I rarely eat it and then it is just a small portion. Much cheaper on the grocery bill. My downfall is bread but most of it is whole grain wheat. I use pepper instead of salt because I think I get enough otherwise.

My Program:
I walk the halls and stairs in our building for exercise and rarely take the elevator. It takes about a half hour to walk the whole building and I don't have to worry about weather.

Personal Information:
I have been living in a 55+ apartment complex for a year now and it is very nice. There are many new friends to visit with in the social room downstairs but I don't go everyday.

Other Information:
I read all the time and spend many hours on spark pages, probably too much but I have an addictive personality.

Thanks so much for your support. I am moving forward. I have learned from my mistakes, but unfortunately, keep doing them. But, I guess that has happened to a lot of us. It is a new month and the first Monday in August. I am determined to lose some weight before the teachers come back on August 19th. Even if it's a couple of pounds.

NO! I don't want to control my son! I want him to be a free thinker like I am. TOO many people are 'sheep'! I even wrote in my blog 'I have to figure out a way to get Mikhail not to decide to only wear one pair of shorts out of 5 that are all exactly the same, but I will not make him wear khakis because that's what ALL parents make their kids wear!!!'

I think breaking a kid's Spirit is child abuse. Controlling parents usually break a kid's Spirit! I believe I'm one of the few people who was able to mend a broken Spirit. Usually the damage is done & that's that!
