Eat to Live, not Live to Eat

Finding out that I am pre-diabetic has re-empowered me to lose weight. I do not want to go on meds. My Doc is also not happy with my cholesterol or triglycerides either. I want to become healthy again and the first step is to change my lifestyle.

I joined 2014 5% Fall Challenge as a way to start getting healthy again. External motivation and being responsible for a team effort will help keep me on track.

Hi. Brenda!

What r u painting? House , room, or as I do, water colors for fun.

I'm delighted u have joined the Dawggie team. U r soooo correct that working as a team is very encouraging. I've lost right near 70lbs since I've started this journey. WOOOOHHOOOWWLLL

U can also do this Hon. I didn't first check to c if u have blogged. That's a great way to receive support. Also by reaching out on various teams members pages, and leaving comments. They will write back and than yeah!!! Support.

WELCOME to the Dawggie team.

Hugs, Diane, CL

Brenda, Welcome to the SUDS Team for the 5% Challenge! Get ready for a great Fall with the dawggies! Shout out if you need any help! The additional record keeping for the challenge is easy once you get the hang of it. You are already tracking your food and fitness, that is the bulk of it. There is just one other message board on the SUDS Team Page that will be posted by next Friday. On Saturday, Sept. 20, we will all add our fitness time to the post. Just visit the SUDS page and get familiar, you'll see it! Holler if you need anything.
Sincerely,
Janey, EL for the SUDS Fall 5% challenge emoticon

You mentioned you like spicy food.
I used to travel to Philly for software training and they had a Cajun restaurant that was out of this world. One night, our director was with us and JUST HAD to impress the group...so when the waitress asked how spicy he wanted his shrimp étouffée...he said: "Impress me". You should have seen the look on his face.

It was Priceless
