Eat to Live, not Live to Eat

Finding out that I am pre-diabetic has re-empowered me to lose weight. I do not want to go on meds. My Doc is also not happy with my cholesterol or triglycerides either. I want to become healthy again and the first step is to change my lifestyle.

I joined 2015 5% Winter Challenge as a way to start getting healthy again. External motivation and being responsible for a team effort will help keep me on track.

My Goals:
I am in the process of losing my "baby fat" Even though my youngest is 24+, I never lost the weight gained from him & his older brother.

My weight loss goal for the 2015 Winter 5% Challenge is 12 pounds. That's 3 4# bags of sugar!!


My Program:
Tracking Tracking Tracking. Portion control and being mindful of the type of foods I eat rather than just the calories. Also have added some low impact exercises to help with overall loss and health. Will be adding some plant based meals from the Engine 2 Diet to my weekly meal plan.

Personal Information:
A New Englander by birth, I have lived in NJ since 1971. I share my home w/ my husband of 40+ years.

Other Information:
Hopefully in the next 12-24 months will be living in the Carolina's. Not sure if North or South yet, will figure it out after we sell our NJ home.

HI Brenda !! TY For ur time hon !! Ur doing WELL !! Keep it up gal 111 WOOHOOO 11 I am a getting ready for the SNOW tomorrow,, PLZ be VERY CAREFUL !! Its recommended that if you need to shovel you do so in SMALL amounts ! Shovel it every few inches,, of course with the WIND it may not make much difference 1

emoticon Brenda,, NICE Job of the 55 mins and those 8 glasses of watah !! I had actually been working HARD on the exercise, but FORGOT THE WATAH !!! I usually do 5 glasses,, maybe 7, but generally 5,, its where I feel at my bestest. I SHOULD still easily hit the 5.
