Living for the Future

I've lived through it all in my short period of life on earth. My entire life I have been overweight, thanks mainly due to the lack of health food education in my school system and home-life. Now that I have been on Sparkpeople, I have learned that flipping through the stages of starvation, extreme exercising and/or overeating is not the way of life.

Now that it has been over a year, I have taught myself (along with assistance from my spark friends) the true way of living life. I'm not 100% vegan and happier than ever with the foods that I eat! I love baking/cooking which has sparked my love for making delicious new recipes for my family and friends.

I still have a long way to go but I know that every day is a step closer to knowing more about our bodies and our souls. I hope to encourage others through my personal experience and pray that I learn more about myself in the journey. I'm looking to lose the rest of the weight that a poor education has given me and spark a new career during the path to a healthier, happier lifestyle.

Yeah I tried a lot to be friendly last semester and finally just gave up. On Sunday, one of the nicer guys that I do talk to invited us out for lunch in the city. We drove up and it was just us which was fine (me, Rob, Dan (classmate) and his wife). Anyway, it is just frustrating because I feel alone aaaaalllll the time. At home, at school, etc. I get along with a couple of the other people but they are never around. It is just so annoying that I'm always around yet they seem to just ignore me even though I am friendly. I chock it up to being young and snobby. But it is still annoying!

It must not have been a very exciting lunch if you had it at all.
Low carb is not fun, but it's worth a try to see if I can move these 10 pounds that have plagued me.
He builds new models all the time :-) Yes, he's doing some for the show.

I haven't been doing any baking recently. I started with an online trainer, The Get In Shape Girl, and she has me doing low carb.
Thanks for the snow :-) It's actually pretty nice here but I wish it would rain….we could really use it.
Busy, busy, busy. My husband is gearing up for the NNL West Model Car Show on 2/1. I'll be working the registration desk and bringing some cookies along…there will be a blog sometime soon.
