Hello! My name is Leslie. I am getting healthy for myself as well as for my family. I have always been very thin. I have never had any trouble losing weight, until I had my second son almost 6 years ago. When I got pregnant I weighed 110 lbs. I gained 72 lbs! I figured I would lose the weight easily, because I did with my first son (I lost 50 lbs in 2 months). I didn't. I only lost 20 lbs in the first year. Hello! My name is Leslie. I am getting healthy for myself as well as for my family. I have always been very thin. I have never had any trouble losing weight, until I had my second son almost 6 years ago. When I got pregnant I weighed 110 lbs. I gained 72 lbs! I figured I would lose the weight easily, because I did with my first son (I lost 50 lbs in 2 months). I didn't. I only lost 20 lbs in the first year. After about 3 years of yo-yoing up and down in weight, I finally said "That's enough! I'm doing this once and for all!" Before that I would workout, but not eat right or vice-versa. I finally put it all together! Now, I eat healthy AND workout. I am in the BEST shape of my life! I am healthier than when I was in my twenties. I have a new found respect for anybody that sets out on their own fitness journey. I credit my weight loss and healthy lifestyle to all my hard work. Getting healthy takes patience, endurance and a whole lot of willpower.

I use workouts that I enjoy, so working out is fun for me and doesn't feel like a chore.

Hi - I just saw your question on the Jillian Michael's TBR Workouts 11 and 12 thread asking about Ripped in 30. Here's what I wrote:

I got amazing results with Ripped in 30. I lost a majority of my weight doing that DVD. But I always did an extra 30 - 45 minutes of cardio afterwards.

I like Ripped in 30 a lot better than 30 Day Shred!

Hi Leslie! Thanks for thinking of me :)

All is going well. I decided to restart the JM workouts because I injured my back lifting a weight improperly and had to sit out a couple of days. When it was time to move on to DVD #3 I felt like I hadn't really gotten the benefit of DVDs #1 and 2, so I restarted yesterday and I feel great. I am on the fence with the cardio DVD. I liked it, but I feel like the elliptical workouts I do every day give me so much more bang for the buck. I'll probably do the cardio workout tomorrow and then still get on my elliptical anyway!

I'm glad all is going well for you! Keep up the good work and let's keep comparing notes emoticon
