The realization of my goal...my epiphany! In order to live, love and laugh. Learning to love myself first creates the environment needed to grow. My seed remained in the sun without water or fertilizer for all of 2008. The epiphany... in 2009 I must water my seed as it grows. I must protect my seed from the elements. Allow only those I choose to enjoy the beauty and fragrance of my flower. Only those I choose...those who don't block my sun...those who water me tenderly...those who fertile ...

My Goals:
My main goal is to lose the weight. Here are a few misc. goals I have also set for myself. To remember to always take time for me everyday. To get my degree finished. Take a trip out of the country. Remind myself that this is a life style change not a diet. Run a 5k marathon in October of 2012. Looking forward to taking some dance classes since I danced professional from the age of 4 - 23. Also decided I would not cut my hair except for a trim until I reach my goal weight so loving my natural hair! For anyone who knows me this is a REAL challenge...lol.

My Program:
So far my program consist of 5000 steps a day. Cardio for a minimum of 45 minutes 5 days a week. Weight training for a minimum of 3 times a week. Participate in at least 4 classes of some type each week. The hardest thing for me is getting the water in. (Trying hard...really) I am a vegetarian so I am focusing on cutting out the junk foods. Looking forward to really trying to attain some of my goals for myself. Staying motivated is really a big challenge for me. I have given myself 1 year to get the weight off.

I am a mother of (4) with the youngest being 12 years of age. I am in my early 40's looking to get my body back. My husband of 28 years can eat anything that's not nailed down and not can a pound...argh!

Other Information:
I am also a vegetarian for almost 20+ odd years now. Really looking to remove some more animal products from my diet like eggs, milk and cheese the vegan thing may be to much for me. I have also removed the creamy crack from my life for over 2 years now...whew! Loving my natural hair not running from the rain is a beautiful thing lol. Originally it was more of a spiritual cleansing for me, as time progressed my sister friend Angela D. really helped me appreciate the love of being natural. Since that time I have been working at getting as many converts as possible lol. What most woman say when they see my hair is how do you do that? They want the look but not the process which means you can't have the look. You have to be able to stand in your own truth and love yourself for doing it.
