Back again May 2015!

I have been away from Spark People for about 2 years. I am ready to take charge and get control of my self. I have gained back all the weight I said I never would again. You know how we all say "someday, I'll . . . ," and for many of us "someday" is code for "never"? " My someday is here.

I have not had much success with the spark diet. It does not seem to fit with my life style. I do enjoy logging on and logging in my points and my exercise. So for now I am just trying to move ...

8/2015 I have learned slowly to drink water and exercise more. I am concentrating on sleeping 8 hours a day. I only make it 6 some nights. I wake up at 4 and cannot go back to sleep...stupid ol menopause is what the elderly ladies tell me. But my plans are to continue to make lifetime healthy choices. Praying always.

My Goals:
To be a better person and to be happy. Get in shape and take care of this body God has given me.

My Program:
I work very hard as a nurse and am on my feet about 12 hours a day and put in about 5000 steps at work each day 5 days a week.. On the weekends I ride my recumbent bike and work in the garden. I am making small changes and trying very hard not to beat myself up for failing to loose any weight.


Personal Information:
I live in the mountains of North Carolina. Marshall.
I knit, spin, crochet, weave ,quilt, anything having to do with yarn and fiber. I play piano for church and take piano lessons. progress is slow at my age and stress level. I have a disabled husband, two grown sons and one grandson. My oldest son also disabled with Bipolar Disorder but has graduated from Western Carolina University with a bachelors degree in philosophy. My youngest son owns his own carpentry and landscaping business and is doing well. I am proud of them all.
