Thanks for stopping by my blog and for your encouraging comments. Excuse making ... we're all so good at that, aren't we? emoticon

Now that I've given myself a good swift kick in the butt and restarted my workouts I'm determined to stick with them. If I can make it through the first couple of weeks I'll settle into routine and all will be well.

Thanks again.

Thanks so much for visiting my blog...you crack me up! Yep, my DH put all the weight back on that he had lost before Seattle. He is trying again though. The beer yesterday was light.

I managed to drop some of the weight that came on in Seattle and during the oral surgery. Woo hoo!

Sometimes we all have those days where motivation is low, the scale lies, the work is too hard, the sun won't come out, you just don't want to bother, or it's easier just to eat the cake and not worry about it.

Yup, we all have them.

So when you do have them, here are some great, wise, words for you to ponder...

“The road to success is always under construction”
― Lily Tomlin

"Follow your passion, stay true to yourself, never follow someone else’s path unless you’re in the woods and you’re lost and you see a path then by all means you should follow that."
― Ellen Degeneres

"People often say that motivation doesn’t last. Well, neither does bathing – that’s why we recommend it daily."
― Zig Ziglar

"I believe that if life gives you lemons, you should make lemonade... And try to find somebody whose life has given them vodka, and have a party."
― Ron White

"You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose. You’re on your own. And you know what you know. And YOU are the one who’ll decide where to go." – Dr. Seuss

The whole thing happened so fast it took me a few seconds to realize what just occurred - then my heart started to pound.

The police officer who came to the accident said that, with the amount of visible damage, he figured the odds were about 50/50 that it would be repaired. If the damage is all superficial fixing it won't be an issue but if the engine got pushed back or the frame bent that would change things.

I consider myself very lucky that the deer didn't come flying back through the wind shield.

Have a wonderful time viewing the colours in Pennsylvania. Hopefully, Mother Nature will be kind and not rain all over the leaves before you get a chance to see them. We've had perfect conditions here for the last week or so ... no rain to drain the colours or bring the leaves down, summer-like temps, sunny. It has been so nice. Some years the colours never get a chance to peak before they're washed out and knocked down.
