I'm Caitlin. I'm a newly licensed teacher. I'm trying to figure out how to be a healthy and mature adult. Whenever I imagine growing up, a line from Buffy creeps into my head "You're being very immature. I'm a kid, I get to mature." Well, here I am maturing. Growing up. Getting healthy. I have the support of my family and my loving mister. I am here to get healthy. I've been doing Spark seriously for a few months and it was time for a reintroduction.


INTRO from Back in the Day:
Here we go. On this crazy adventure we call life, I somehow lost my way. It happened when I was little so I don't remember exactly the path to finding my way back to good health. I'm getting ready to embark on a new part of my journey. I can't put it off any longer. Adulthood is upon me and I need to step up.

Goal One:
I want to be able to run the Color Run met April.

Goal Two:
I want to cook at home at least four dinners a week.

I recently graduated with my Masters in Teaching. I love teaching and being in the classroom!! It is second nature and a home to me. I live in Eugene- Go DUCKS!! I currently co-habitate with mister, my darling. We have one cat and one dog, Bagel and Sherlock respectively. I love to read. I love to write. I love to listen to music and watch TV. I'm hoping to add the love of the gym to this list but I may be getting a little too far ahead of myself.

    My husband and I started this today. My mom has been doing it awhile now. The goal is to continue Monday yoga then workout after school (I'm a teacher) Tuesday and Thursday for about an hour. Sundays I'm intentional about meal planning for the week.

    i love my exercise bike. Mine has a fan built in so the more and harder I work the cooler I can get! I've been doing it for 20 minutes and burn around 400 (and a little more) calories during that time. It's nice. Plus it's good for toning your legs!

    Hey! Checking in this morning; lets make it great!

    If you're looking for a way to workout inside you could get an exercise bike. You can get them at yardsales and fleamarkets pretty cheap or even at Dicks Sporting Goods (Or Dunhams sporting goods) in the low hundreds.

    I got mine from my fiance's grandmother. I'm going to buy a treadmill soon.

    If you don't want to do that, but have the space then jump rope is fun. I don't have a jump rope but i'm going to buy one sometime this weekend.

    Yoga though, is a great way to burn calories inside! Plus it stretches your muscles, which always feels good!

    Hey thanks for adding me back :) SP has been SO good for me. I'm noticing changes already and it hasn't even been that long! I feel lighter than I have in years and I feel healthy. I haven't had one of those "Oh my god how much did I EAT?!" moments in a while. It's great.

    I'm hoping to lose 2 lbs this week but weigh in day is on Sunday! Wish me luck ;) I can't weight (pun intended) until I can get some of this fat off of me and go climb a mountain. Being in Kentucky is great because Natural Bridge is right next to me.
