Here's my New Year's Prayer:

Now I sit me down to eat,
I pray the Lord I will not cheat.
If I should reach for cake or bread
please guide my hand to greens instead!
But help me Lord, if I indulge
and lose the Battle of the Bulge,
to understand that ounce for ounce,
It's Who I Am
That Really Counts!

I'm a yo-yo dieter who's on the road to break that awful habit! No more diets for me, just a lifechange that will start slow at first, taking one goal at a time until I have that as a life habit. Then I'll move on to the next goal and so on! I can overcome and will overcome!

A few months ago, when I went for my 6 month check-up, I got a wake up call. My blood sugar was "a little high," my dr said. Since then, I was confirmed I am pre-diabetic. Now I have a meter and am trying to lower my blood sugar levels.
Since diabetes runs in my family, (both my mom & oldest sister had diabetes) I am taking this serious and working on a few helps I've found.

So with the help of Spark People, I will get to my goal weight and get a healthier body in the process!!!

My Goals:
Goal #1: Exercise 15+ min a day
Goal #2: Drink 6+ cups water daily
Goal #3: Eat 3+ Freggies daily
Goal #4: Stick with The Curves Diet.
Goal #5: Work at lowering my Blood Glucose Levels to less than 110.

My Program:
My program will be simple. Just use the Nutrition tracker and the Fitness tracker as well as my streaks too!

1) Make Peace with your Past,
So it doesn't spoil your Present.

2) What others Think of you is
None of your business.

3) Time heals Almost Everything.
Give the Time, Some Time.

4) No one is the Reason for your Happiness
Except You, yourself.

5) Don't compare your Life with others,
You have No Idea what their journey is all about.

6) Stop Thinking too much
It's Alright not to know all the Answers.

7) Smile..You don't own
All the Problems in the World.
