40 Gone 15 To Go!

My weight inched upward over the years. I started sparking 5/10/12; starting weight-256 lbs. By 12/10/12, I weighed 214.5. Then I regressed and gained 7-8 lbs. over Jan. and Feb. On 3/28/13, I retook control; adjusted caloric intake and increased physical activity. UPDATE: 5/10/13. My scale finally inched downward in late April. On May 10, 2013, I weighed in at 216. I also moved my goal weight lower, from 206 to 201.

My Goals:
I saved my old jeans. They are hanging in my closet. I want to wear them again.

Update: March 10, 2013--I am wearing my old jeans!

Update: May 10, 2013--Got back down to 216, so 40 pounds lost for the year and 10 more to go!

My Program:
I did the South Beach Diet (SBD) to jump start weight loss. 12 pounds lost during the two-week 1st Phase of SBD. After that, I shifted to losing 1-2 pounds/wk and increased exercising. Started walking (baby steps) and gradually increased cardio time and distance. Included some light weight lifting (which I used to do and enjoyed).

Update: March 10, 2013--I stopped logging food for two months and ended up gaining 7.5 pounds. Since logging, I've lost 3 pounds. So I learned an important lesson. I need to keep logging what I eat.

Loved reading your blog and checking out all the pictures you've shared! I love the reminder to make sure to log ALL food! That's something I like to slide on once in a while..and you're so close to goal! How exciting is that! I will be glad when my little woman on the weight ticker is closer to my goal than she is right now!
