1. Eat more dark leafy greens (e.g. spinach, kale, collard greens, etc)
2. Eat lots of seasonal veggies and aim for variety
3. Eat protein from quality sources (either plant-based or through sustainable animal products)

Even though the FitBit counts *everything*, getting to 2500 minutes in a month is still pretty impressive. That means you are moving and burning calories. I maintain that you are doing a great job!!

Thank you for your nice comments about my Bonnie quilt. It was sew much fun and I used red and green scraps from my stash that were old and left to my church by a quilter's family. I had some really old stuff but it was fun to use up. I also included a "bama" fabric (Univ of Ala) as I was in Alabama when I took the class, and of course Florida State Univ fabrics. Both were reds. I will have to keep this quilt and tried to enlarge it enough to cover a queen bed.

Hello Idaho Spark friend,yes this IS THE YEAR TO DO IT!
No shame,,, so far for me ,,,it's working 5 lbs. Down
Not eatting refined carbohydrates.Not even 1 crouton has passed my lips I am " in the groove!"

I have to have both of my hips replaced but I have lost a lot of weight ! I am doing fairly well all things considered. The doctors are pretty amazed I am keeping going so that is all good !
