TIME TO UPDATE

Yes, it has been a while since I updated this page! And I really want to change photos as I have many in my computer but always depend on daughter or daughter-in-law to help me with that. Maybe I will try it on my own.
Right now I am at weight that one weight loss company told me should be goal. But that is still overweight and I really want to lose 10 more lbs. to be where SP recommends.

Right now I am at weight that one weight loss company told me should be goal. But that is still overweight and I really want to lose 10 more lbs. to be where SP recommends.
I am very proud of the exercise I now get when in the beginning I could not walk for 5 minutes due to a bad knee and hip. Today I get as many as 130 minutes of exercise. Especially love the water aerobics, but also enjoy walking and the recumbent bike.
My husband of 56 years supports and encourages me all the time. And I have just started challenges which I enjoy even though I am not a competitive person. But they do keep me on my toes. During the 56 days of the 2010 Winter 5 % Challenge I hope to lose 10 lbs., a real challenge for me!

My Goals:
To Be Healthy and now to maintain my weight loss.
FAVORITE SAYINGS:
Be not afraid of going slowly; be afraid only of standing still.
Worrying is like a rocking chair, it gives you something to

My Program:
The Nutrition Tracker is my constant buddy as I use it faithfully every day. With my bad knee I didn't think I could exercise much, but now am up to a 40-45 minute walk and 30 minutes of riding the recumbent bike. Losing weight has certainly helped!

Personal Information:
I live in the country outside Wake Forest, North Carolina with my husband of 58 years and where our son and wife are next door with our three grandchildren. We live on the second floor in their Carriage House just a few feet away. We have two more grandchildren who live in Columbus, Ohio. We have a daughter there and a son in Port Clinton, OH.

How's my darling friend doing? I'm working still on getting my fat off. My four little GDS are doing fine. Have to put up some new pictures. My son, Neal was in his first bodybuilding show. He started working out 4 years ago January 1st. He is 6'3" and got down to 206# for the show, but is back up at 217# now. I have to post some of his pictures.

I see your Spark Friend, NARNIAROSE2003 is The Motivator of the Day. What an honor.

Just stopping by to wish you a Happy Thanksgiving and share a Thanksgiving poem by an unknown source:

TWAS THE NIGHT OF THANKSGIVING,
BUT I JUST COULDN'T SLEEP.
I TRIED COUNTING BACKWARDS,
I TRIED COUNTING SHEEP.

THE LEFTOVERS BECKONED -
THE DARK MEAT AND WHITE,
BUT I FOUGHT THE TEMPTATION
WITH ALL OF MY MIGHT.

TOSSING AND TURNING WITH ANTICIPATION,
THE THOUGHT OF A SNACK BECAME INFATUATION.
SO, I RACED TO THE KITCHEN, FLUNG OPEN THE DOOR,
AND GAZED AT THE FRIDGE, FULL OF GOODIES GALORE.
GOBBLED UP TURKEY AND BUTTERED POTATOES,
PICKLES AND CARROTS, BEANS AND TOMATOES.

I FELT MYSELF SWELLING SO PLUMP AND SO ROUND,
'TIL ALL OF A SUDDEN, I ROSE OFF THE GROUND.
I CRASHED THROUGH THE CEILING, FLOATING INTO THE SKY,
WITH A MOUTHFUL OF PUDDING AND A HANDFUL OF PIE.
BUT, I MANAGED TO YELL AS I SOARED PAST THE TREES....
HAPPY EATING TO ALL - PASS THE CRANBERRIES, PLEASE.

MAY YOUR STUFFING BE TASTY,
MAY YOUR TURKEY BE PLUMP.
MAY YOUR POTATOES 'N GRAVY HAVE NARY A LUMP.
MAY YOUR YAMS BE DELICIOUS.
MAY YOUR PIES TAKE THE PRIZE,
MAY YOUR THANKSGIVING DINNER STAY OFF OF YOUR THIGHS!!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ALL

Good idea to buy wreaths for the adults. Maybe a houseplant would be okay too.
