TIME TO UPDATE

Yes, it has been a while since I updated this page! And I really want to change photos as I have many in my computer but always depend on daughter or daughter-in-law to help me with that. Maybe I will try it on my own.

Right now I am at weight that one weight loss company told me should be goal. But that is still overweight and I really want to lose 10 more lbs. to be where SP recommends.
I am very proud of the exercise I now get when in the beginning I could not walk for 5 minutes due to a bad knee and hip. Today I get as many as 130 minutes of exercise. Especially love the water aerobics, but also enjoy walking and the recumbent bike.
My husband of 56 years supports and encourages me all the time. And I have just started challenges which I enjoy even though I am not a competitive person. But they do keep me on my toes. During the 56 days of the 2010 Winter 5 % Challenge I hope to lose 10 lbs., a real challenge for me!

My Program:
The Nutrition Tracker is my constant buddy as I use it faithfully every day. With my bad knee I didn't think I could exercise much, but now am up to a 40-45 minute walk and 30 minutes of riding the recumbent bike. Losing weight has certainly helped!

Hi Carol,
It was great to hear from you. Sorry about your internet connection.
I lost about 8 pounds, half my goal. I am in a Spring to Summer challenge. We are halfway through and I am still at my starting point.
I do appreciate the Spark program, guess I am one of the slow ones. I have learned a lot from our great leaders and need to work harder to apply it.
The best part is all of the Spark people and their encouragement.
Good luck in your weight loss. Maybe we will be on another challenge together.

You Can Do Anything
You Believe You Can

Just start somewhere. Resolve to do something.
You might even write out what you want to
accomplish. Then explore what you need to do to
reach you goal, and start doing it, step by step.
It's the same as if you were planning a trip: you
get a map, make your preparations, and then start
traveling the right road.

Don't get "bound up" in any problems that stand
in your way. Do something every day to resolve
them. Trust your instincts. Do one thing at a time.

Remember... if you sow seeds of fear, doubt, panic,
and procrastination, it will most likely work against
you. If you keep doing the same things you're
doing now, you will keep ending up in similar
places to where you are now.

Once you start making progress towards your goal,
you will be magically propelled towards eventual
reward. Just keep listening and taking direction
from inside you. Be patient; your dreams will not
come true overnight. But start now, and go with
love and courage and confidence. Don't be afraid.
You can do anything you believe you can. And
don't forget to keep an open mind and heart to
check yourself along the way.

You can do it! Go for it, and good luck
