When I'm 64(except now I'm 68)

I am in my golden years, retired in 2008 and intend to keep the gold burnished and shining through good physical, mental and spiritual health.

Current Status:
CAROLJEAN64 has decided Mother Nature has issues. It was 85 on Saturday and Monday morning I had to sweep snow off my car.

Maintain my weight loss and continue to improve my physical conditioning and to enjoy retirement to the fullest.

My Program:
Keeping my food journal is so important in maintaining my weight. I also love continuing to develop my yoga skills as a practitioner and a teacher.

Personal Information:
Through psychology and physical work, I have come to a place of mind/body awareness and integration that is personally very rewarding and satisfying.

Other Information:
I am a reader, always have been since I was 8, had polio and the only way to leave my bed was through stories.
I teach yoga to all ages from 3 year olds to retirees. I have a daily home practice.

Congratulations on reaching your "wedding weight." I think that yoga will help you combat depression if you are still struggling with it.

I'm 71, not retired, but doing full-time what I never had the confidence to do before: freelance translator. My languages are Spanish & Russian. I'm sedentary most of the time, but I get off the chair every hour and go up & down the stairs.

I just saw your recipe for No-Bake Energy Bites. They sound delicious. I thought you might be interested in two recipes which I use. One is for Energy Balls: http://recipes.sparkpeople.com/recipe-deta
il.asp?recipe=2524687 I eat one post-workout and wait about 30-40 minutes before having some protein. The Balls are to be 3 or 4 parts carbs to protein. I also make protein bars: http://recipes.sparkpeople.com/recipe-deta
il.asp?recipe=2374782 This is a basic recipe that can be played with. I've used chocolate chips, pulverized kale stems, no dried fruit, lots of different kinds of nuts....The Energy Balls can be played with as well. Dates are a staple, but the other fruit might be figs of something. They are both no-bake, too. Thanks for sharing your recipe.
