WE can do this!!!

Even though I'm proud of the 40+pounds that I've lost since I've been on sparkpeople, sparking has improved my life in so many other ways that the mere fact that I've lost weight doesn't seem as significant (even though it is, for health reasons!). I'm just as so happy to be part of this wonderful community of friends sharing a similar journey!
You know what made the difference for me? The 5% Challenges . . . Fall, Winter, Spring, now Summer! They are awesome!

My Goals:
I try to eliminate processed foods entirely, and eat only whole foods. Lots of vegetables & protein, whole grains on occasion, and limited fruit (due to prediabetes)

My Program:
Attend Spin class 5-days-week, as well as Strength Training classes 3-days-week. Add extra walking & riding stationary bike in front of the TV when time allows.

HI, Carol,
Thanks for the kudos re weight loss.....and the pep talk to beat this cold so it is back stage instead of front and center. I did some things that made me happy today, though....finished a novel, worked an online jigsaw puzzle, and got my fitness minutes out of the way. I'm even happy I got some groceries in the house before I had to return my son's vehicle tonight.

Hope you are finding your "happy" too.

Let's keep moving and making good food choices. emoticon

I have been doing those stretches several times a day, even when I was out on my walk yesterday. I think it is helping, that and time. My back is feeling much better, not perfect and still have a ways to go, but much better none the less. Thanks for all of your support.
