Carpe Diem! Lose To Win

I am 30 years old. My lifestyle is less than stellar and I'm pretty sedentary- I USE TO eat what I want, when I wanted with no worries. I'm diabetic, I have renal stone disease, high blood pressure, tremors, calcification on my aorta, depression/anxiety, chronic pain, and high cholesterol,...and lots of stress in my life. I see a PT 3x a week because of tendonitis in my ankle and have extremely weak ankle muscles.

When am I going to wake up and realize that if I keep living this ...

When am I going to wake up and realize that if I keep living this way, even one day longer, I will continue killing myself by damaging all my organs??? Today is THE day that I start my healthy lifestyle change. I have too much life to live and too much to offer this world to die young because of my selfishness and gluttony. My body CANNOT wait another day to start a healthy lifestyle.

I'm to the point where I don't even want to set a weight goal, because I'm not doing this to get to a certain number... I'm now doing this to SAVE MY LIFE!! And even losing 1 lb is better than gaining 1 lb.

It is extremely important that I take drastic measures to secure a healthier me.

These are my long term goals
My goals:
Goal weight of 135lbs a year from now (January 4th, 2013) which puts me at losing approximately 1.33 lbs a week
Blood Pressure within normal range and not have to take medication
A1C and cholesterol within normal range and not have to take medication
Decrease the stress in my life
Be Happy
Eat heart healthy
Exercise 3 times/week for the first 4 weeks (cardio/weight training) (starting after my medical restrictions are lifted on Feb. 20th)
Exercise 5 times/week after the first 4 weeks
Participate in the Warrior Dash 2013 in Wisconsin

Thanks for stopping by! I am a diabetic & so I do watch my intake of carbs & I make certain I move my body everyday. I try to do at least 60-90 minutes of cardio daily & ST 3X a week. I'm certain getting my diet & weight under control was the secret for me. My hemaglobin A1C used to be around 7 when I weighed around 230. I didn't do any exercise then & was on Metformin. I lost the weight & started moving my body & HgA1C is now 5.3! I'm not on any meds now & plan to keep it that way!
