I Still Got A Lot of Fight Left in Me...

Things Sparkpeople has taught me:
1) Never give up.
2) Misery may love company but being in the company of happy people (i.e. Sparkfriends) will get you through the misery.
3) Confidence is a learned trait and fake it until you make it!
4) Exercise really does make me happier (and healthier).
5) Weight loss, fitness and healthy living are a journey not a destination.

I am on this journey for the long haul - I've left SP for months at a time and always ...

2015 GOALS:

RUN "Run for Your Life: 5k in October 24, 2015

Reach 140 lbs by December 2015


DONE:
Get to 165 by August 1-7, 2015 - GOT to 171.2

175lbs which is 50lbs down since January 2015 (reached 6/14/2015)

UNDER 200 by March 1, 2015. - ALMOST hanging in at 201! - Reached 3/6/2015

182 by June 1st 2015. This would put me at the lowest weight I have seen since 2000. - Reached 5/14/15

PAST goals achieved:
12/9/10: 10% weight loss - achieved, ahead of goal date.

10/24/10: race-walked my 1st 5k in 47.45 minutes.

10/1/11: walk/jogged my 2nd 5k in 47.36 minutes.



My Program:
1) Low-carb (less than 30gm daily) and Higher Fat - eat clean and watch portions, drinking lots of water.

2) Exercise 5 days a week at least 30 min, have started doing HIIT, plus whatever extra activity I can fit in.

3) Had to stop weighing weekly as it psyches me out! So now only 2x a month.

Well, I'm still doing elliptical and walking, just trying to up the resistance and duration. I have the 2 DVDs that came with the sparkcoach subscription, going to start doing those. Also found a 5-minute core workout series on the site, gonna start incorporating that too...

Thanks for the goodie.

Great lakes will also add so many grams of protein too. I also take zinc for skin. I use coconut oil on my skin - which helps with elasticity and I order it from Tropical Traditions. I wait till there is a free shipping offer. I get expeller pressed which is the cheapest and by the gallon. I cook with it too.
