I Still Got A Lot of Fight Left in Me...

Things Sparkpeople has taught me:
1) Never give up.
2) Misery may love company but being in the company of happy people (i.e. Sparkfriends) will get you through the misery.
3) Confidence is a learned trait and fake it until you make it!
4) Exercise really does make me happier (and healthier).
5) Weight loss, fitness and healthy living are a journey not a destination.

I am on this journey for the long haul - I've left SP for months at a time and always ...

2015 GOALS:

RUN "Run for Your Life: 5k in October 24, 2015

Reach 140 lbs by December 2015


DONE:
Get to 165 by August 1-7, 2015 - GOT to 171.2

175lbs which is 50lbs down since January 2015 (reached 6/14/2015)

UNDER 200 by March 1, 2015. - ALMOST hanging in at 201! - Reached 3/6/2015

182 by June 1st 2015. This would put me at the lowest weight I have seen since 2000. - Reached 5/14/15

PAST goals achieved:
12/9/10: 10% weight loss - achieved, ahead of goal date.

10/24/10: race-walked my 1st 5k in 47.45 minutes.

10/1/11: walk/jogged my 2nd 5k in 47.36 minutes.



My Program:
1) Low-carb (less than 30gm daily) and Higher Fat - eat clean and watch portions, drinking lots of water.

2) Exercise 5 days a week at least 30 min, have started doing HIIT, plus whatever extra activity I can fit in.

3) Had to stop weighing weekly as it psyches me out! So now only 2x a month.

The Gelatin is the best! I order it from amazon. You should start doing 1/2 the daily dose. because it also helps with stomach issues, joints, nails, hair. If you do it that way the can will last like 60 days and still does the job. Mix it in tea, coffee, water, etc/

Last time I ordered it I got Great Lakes Gelatin, Collagen Hydrolysate, Beef, Kosher, 16 oz, 4 Pack
Sold by: Terrific Deal, Inc. $73.96 which makes it less than $20. I have Amazon Prime - so free shipping.

Since taking it. My skin looks better, hair is growing in armpits (I'm in menopause) eyebrows are filling in again, new hair growth on scalp.
