Reeny's Getting Skinny

Last time I was here I lost 16 pounds before I started to lose motivation. I maintained for a few months, then ended up gaining half of my lost pounds back.

I now know what I need to do to lose, but I'm not sure I know how to maintain. I know that this requires a lifestyle change, that is the only way to keep it off. So now I really just need to consider how much I want it.

I am going to try to lose slowly from here on in. No more short term 20 pounds in 10 week ...

I need to learn how to lose by making changes that I will be willing to sustain beyond reaching my goal weight, but I'm not quite sure what those changes are right now.

Thank you so much for your encouragement on my journal thread! It really meant a lot to me. I've been in a down hill spiral ever since that day but I am about to change that--I'm starting Tae Kwon Do this week, and as of the 17th, I'll be in the Wellness Class I mentioned, so I'll get daily exercise. Plus, back to my veggie fest! I don't eat ONLY veggies but I find that when I eat 7 or 8 servings of them, there isn't a lot of room left for much else lol

I especially liked what you said about just do one healthful thing, make one good choice. It's a great idea. If you can't do all your plans or stick to your goals at least do SOMETHING. Thank you!

Hi, Skinny Reeny ~ I read your post on the Check In/Check Out community topic and we are just about at the same weight heading to the same goal! Seeing your goals all laid out sparked me. I'm at 155 and would like to be 135.
