Well here I am, another year has passed. I have been back on SP for 2 weeks now and things are going well.

Previous, Previous Update
I am updating my page per instructions from SparkCoach. I started my latest journey with SP on February 4, 2013. Although I have been losing SLOWLY, still I have lost 13 pounds. I am not in this as a race, I have learned to be content with eating better and exercising and feeling healthier. With that said, I do want to lose the last 12 pounds, so I continue......

PREVIOUS UPDATE
It is time to update my introduction! I first joined SP in January, 2009, but did not really get into it until July of 2009. I lost 23 pounds by the end of October that year. Unfortunately, I put my back out by raking leaves without pacing myself. (I guess 2 straight days of raking for 4-5 hours is not really good for you) Since that time 3 years ago I have managed to put back on the 20 pounds. My husband and I are retired and have been on several vacations. We love it, but I have managed to lose my motivation and have been making poor nutrition choices. I decided to do the South Beach diet because I know I can lose weight on this dies, and I know that I feel better avoiding the bad carbs. Today is February 4, 2013, the beginning of a new commitment for me.

My Goals:
Very simply: I want to feel comfortable in my body.

My Program:
I am tracking my food and staying between 1200-1350 calories a day.
I am going to aerobics and strength class 3 days a week. In addition, I am walking or biking several days a week.

Personal Information:
My husband and I are semi-retired, (we keep busy and work flexible part time jobs). We love the Patriots and traveling. We enjoy being on the beach, or hiking in the mountains. We have 5 children and 6 grandchildren. We feel blessed to have such a good life and such a wonderful family.

Thanks for the Goodie Cate! I managed to stay on track today in spite of getting some really bad news about the sudden death of a friend. Somehow I managed to put a space between thought and action. "I must eat pasta and ice cream." No I don't need to do that and it won't make things any better. So glad to have a new Spark Pal!

We can indeed do this.

Morning Cate. So much for great plans. You can thank me for the rain we are having right now because I had planned to wash the windows and then go for a walk with my dog as a reward. Of course it is pouring. That's ok. I'll take it. I put my meal plan into Spark for the day. That is a good practice I want to get back to the habit of doing. Check your messages.
