I am updating my page per instructions from SparkCoach. I started my latest journey with SP on February 4, 2013. Although I have been losing SLOWLY, still I have lost 13 pounds. I am not in this as a race, I have learned to be content with eating better and exercising and feeling healthier. With that said, I do want to lose the last 12 pounds, so I continue......

PREVIOUS UPDATE
It is time to update my introduction! I first joined SP in January, 2009, but did not really get into it until July of 2009. I lost 23 pounds by the end of October that year. Unfortunately, I put my back out by raking leaves without pacing myself. (I guess 2 straight days of raking for 4-5 hours is not really good for you) Since that time 3 years ago I have managed to put back on the 20 pounds. My husband and I are retired and have been on several vacations. We love it, but I have managed to lose my motivation and have been making poor nutrition choices. I decided to do the South Beach diet because I know I can lose weight on this dies, and I know that I feel better avoiding the bad carbs. Today is February 4, 2013, the beginning of a new commitment for me.

Thank you for your post about the book Say Goodnight to Insomnia by Greg Jacobs. It has made a difference for me and I am still in the early days of the Six week program.
You made a difference in my life this week! Thanks!

I assume there is a park close by, or at least a short drive away....pack a lunch and play in the park....remember how you would keep your boys busy during the day so they would be really tired at night. Rent a video (old school talk) and make some popcorn to munch on while watching the movie (of their choice). Go swimming or run through the sprinkler and eat watermelon outside (maybe even have a seed spitting contest).....can the boys sleep in sleeping bags like camping out? use flashlights to play tag with the lights on the ceiling....YOU will do just fine. emoticon and have fun!!!!!

Thanks for your comment on my page about enjoying walking and chatting with Husband. I was surprised how quickly the time flies when we have time to walk like that. Geocaching is a great way to spend time doing that. Read about it on Geocaching.com. You can get a Geocaching app for your phone very inexpensive and try it out. Great fun and exercise on trails.
