Staying on track in 2013.
My goals are: 1. Maintain 18 pounds GONE! 2. Aim for low-end of calorie range. 3. Continue 10 minute a day challenge PLUS shoveling dirt (or mud) to make a new pond. 4. My emotional health is much improved over the past year. I am incorporating a 5 to 10 minute pep talk every day. 5. Met my first goal . . . already establishing new goals! Let's do this! I have learned so much since joining SP. My health and activity level have improved dramatically! I am feeling and moving better than I have in years, and have dropped 18 pounds so far by changing how and what I eat, and tracking my nutrition and fitness. If you're serious and are willing to commit to the plan, you've come to the right place! SparkPeople has all the tools and resources to help us succeed! Wooohoooo! ================ 10/1/12 original post: My cry of desperation! Like some of you reading this, I have tried and failed, and tried and failed, so many times to lose weight. I've tried one plan and then another. What I have learned is that it's not "the plan" that has the problem, it is me. . . . . Me, because I forget about the plan. I forget that I have a plan, until I've blown it . . . . again. . . . . You know what I'm talking about. So, here I am. Again. And I'm asking for help. I need to be accountable to somebody, something.

My Goals:
To reach and maintain goal weight #1. ============ 12/7/12 Goals: Focus on my future, incorporating health principles I have learned into my life. 10/1/12 goals: My goal is to regain my health. My Dr's have always told me I was disgustingly healthy . . . well, up until the past 4 years. I kinda hit a brick wall. Messed up my shoulder which really limited my activity level and the weight started to come on. Dr. now tells me that I am pre-diabetic. So, now is the time and this is the place!
My Program:
2013: Live the Spark! ========== 1/2/13: core/ST 2x wk; yoga/cardio 3x wk. Move it! Track everything daily. Weigh/ measure monthly. 10/1/12 goals: 1. Adjust my thinking about food. 2. Use the Bowflex and Elliptical Trainer for something other than clothes hangers.
Personal Information:
I live in beautiful So Oregon. Am married to my best friend. I'm feeling better than I have in years and have never been happier before in my life. We enjoy living in the country, riding our CanAm Spyders, and sharing the love and entertainment of the other riding partner in the family, our 7 pound Yorkie, Bad Leroy Brown.
Other Information:
"Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming 'WOW, what a ride!'"
