I am back as I have regained the 25lbs I had lost 2 years ago.

How did that happen??? I did the Tough Mudder in Sept '12 and injured my shoulder. Totally stopped working out and planning my meals. Then I accepted a manager posistion at a floral & garden center in March of '13. It added stress with a sporatic schedule and eatting whatever.

July 2014 I resigned from my manager position, got a new job closer to home, no weekends and a regular schedule. Like it alot. I love being back on Spark!



I was an average weight until i reached 30. Gained and lost weight with a couple weight loss programs, but never maintained or changed my habits. The pictures from my family vacation trip in July 2010 was my turning point. Started mentally preparing myself and have made changes slowly.
All in all, I'm doing things that are realistic for me to maintain.
I still enjoy treats and dessert, just in moderation.
I'll have an exercise program that I'll enjoy, not dread.
I would like to loose 4-5 lbs a month till I reach my goal, which means being more diligent with my food tracking and exercise.
I believe I can reach these goals.

Arctic cold does mean I won't be out jogging in it, but I still have to be outside quite a bit, walking to and from the train station to work. So I'll be bundling up. Good to know you burn more calories in the cold, right?

Did you see that they opened up the race today? They changed the dates. Sept 8 and 9th.

I don't know if you had preregistered, but I did and I have an email with $10 off if registered by next week.

I am trying to decide which day to run. That is our town's festival weekend. Our library has their 5k on Sat (which I work at, I don't run) and the parade is on Sunday. Decisions decisions!
