I just want to fit into my stuff again

I used to be one of those obnoxious people who could eat anything and never gain weight. I couldn't gain weight when that was the goal even. It's not longer the case and now I really have to start paying more attention to what I eat and what I do.

Other things - I'm in the process of doing a re-write on a book I hope to ultimately get published.

Spiritually - I consider myself a non-denominational pagan. ;)

I am seriously addicted to reading books. It's rare for me to be reading less than three books as a time. I am so addicted, that I recently decided to give in to the audiobook world. The 15 minute commute to work was just "free" time I wasn't reading.

My Goals:
The newest goal (as of 01-03-16) :

Restarting the C25K program. I hate running, but I hate that me knees make it almost impossible to run. I keep doing 5K's though so the plan is to start up again. The first one of the year is usually the last weekend in April. Starting the C25K on the 4th of January should get me on target for that. My last 5K was my best 5K time to date - 35:24. I'd like to be in that range for the first 5K on April 30th.

I'm trying to do little things more for my mental health now. I've been in maintenance for weight for years now. It's time to work on other things.

My Program:
Continuing to track workouts. If the weight starts to move too much, I'll track my food more intently.

Trying to keep improving my 5K times during the year.

I still want to write more, but I want to learn more as well. I'll be doing some free courses online, but I've also decided to try to learn German.

Personal Information:
Married for 24 years. We have 3 boys.

The oldest (age 27) is autistic and recently found a job after being out of work for most of last year after a bout of severe depression.

The middle son (affectionately called the boy) is 22 and studying creative writing and music in college.

The youngest is 10. Yes, we did forget how that happens. He loves camping, baseball, basketball, running around, reading, telling stories.

Other Information:
I have alternate realities in my head that I write about. If I could get something published, that would be wonderful, but unlikely. Still going to give it a try though.

I read. My husband says I'm addicted, but I could stop any time I wanted to. Not likely to happen in my lifetime.

I have to admit to enjoying snow shoveling too. At least when we only get a few inches. It is peaceful.

I totally get your attitude toward snow right now. I'm sure you had way more than enough last year but we don't live in northern climates for the frigid temps. We need more snow too. We got 8 inches just after Christmas and really haven't seen anything much since. I wouldn't mind more at all.

i see you're into audio books as of recently - i have been meaning to explore that domain for a while now but since i am just getting back to reading i am doing it old-school for now..(pdfs don't count) but it's definitely in the future, for sure..
and i also see we share sympathy on today's bad news. what a loss, right?! but it is part of life and these are good reminders to make the most of our time on this planet and really enjoy what we do. i think Mr. Bowie certainly did both.

I'm the same with naps - I always feel 'wasted' (is that the same as 'space cadet'?) afterwards. I think I was out for about 1.5hrs - not sure - and it's 3pm now, so there's a chance I might get something else done with the day.............. I hope you can kick-start your writing today.
