I just want to fit into my stuff again

I used to be one of those obnoxious people who could eat anything and never gain weight. I couldn't gain weight when that was the goal even. It's not longer the case and now I really have to start paying more attention to what I eat and what I do.

Other things - I'm in the process of doing a re-write on a book I hope to ultimately get published.

Spiritually - I consider myself a non-denominational pagan. ;)

I am seriously addicted to reading books. It's rare for me to be reading less than three books as a time. I am so addicted, that I recently decided to give in to the audiobook world. The 15 minute commute to work was just "free" time I wasn't reading.

My Goals:
The newest goal (as of 6-12-2013) :

I just "ran" my first 5K on June 9th, 2013. Still going to PT to work on my knee problems (I have flexible knees and apparently that is one place it's not good to be so). Prior to the injury, I had just finished the C25K program and my best time (on the day of injury) was 48:14. I beat that time by a full minute on the 5K. I was hoping for 45, but was going to be okay with under 50 minutes.

My new goal is to maintain my current weight range as well as trying to still work on some sort of strength/cardio training to maybe do the 5K again next year. -Or at least to out run zombies if it come to that.

My Program:
Tracking my food and workouts.

Having PT once a week as that is what the budget allows.

Trying to extend the amount of time I can live through a cardio workout.

Personal Information:
Married for 21 years. We have 3 boys. The oldest (age 25) is autistic and currently unemployed in part because of his severe depression. The middle son (affectionately called the boy) is 20 studying creative writing and music in college and just made Dean's List this past semester. The youngest is 7. Yes, we did forget how that happens. He loves camping, baseball, basketball, running around, reading, telling stories.

Other Information:
I have alternate realities in my head that I write about. If I could get something published, that would be wonderful, but unlikely. Still going to give it a try though.

Might be needing that camper. They are not doing anything to help. They built a ginormous new dorm building but the sublet it to a school of pharmacy so most of the space is already taken up. They gave her names of other students who were left out in the cold and they are leaving it up to them to "figure it out" She does have some friends that go to BU and they know some girls who have an apartment with an empty room, but it is about 30 minutes away on the T, but she may have to settle for that now until something else comes up. Right now I'm just super frustrated and angry emoticon When we visited the school the tour guide basically told us that if you need off campus housing and don't have a place by January you are pretty much screwed.

Thanks for the goodie. I think I'm still going to need that ark before the end of the week.
I like hearing your perspective after having actually run the 5K. I keep running in spurts when I am doing my 3 mile loop and everytime I run I pretty much keep grumbling to myself that I hate running. I think I'm like you ; I have to do this at least once just to prove to myself that I can. If I'm really going to train though I'm going to have to do it without my dog as I have to keep waiting for him because he keeps jumping in on my way around the pond. I don't think it counts if I run then stop for 3-4 minutes every half mile. It definitely doesn't do anything to help my time! emoticon I'm considering postponing until next year and focusing on training for a mud run. It will force me to work on my strength training and at the same time I will still be working toward a goal. I am so afraid that once I reach a goal that I am going to stop doing everything (that's typically how it works with me) and I don't want to go back there anymore!!
