I just want to fit into my stuff again

I used to be one of those obnoxious people who could eat anything and never gain weight. I couldn't gain weight when that was the goal even. It's not longer the case and now I really have to start paying more attention to what I eat and what I do.

Other things - I'm in the process of doing a re-write on a book I hope to ultimately get published.

Spiritually - I consider myself a non-denominational pagan. ;)

I am seriously addicted to reading books. It's rare for me to be reading less than three books as a time. I am so addicted, that I recently decided to give in to the audiobook world. The 15 minute commute to work was just "free" time I wasn't reading.

My Goals:
The newest goal (as of 9-25-2014) :

I've managed to stay in goal range for a year, but I have jaw sugery coming up, so I've been trying to stay on the high side of the range.

Attempting the C25K program again. I hate running, but I hate that me knees make it almost impossible to run. If I quit running, I want it to be on my terms. Besides, I signed up for a zombie 5k and I'm scared to death of zombies, so I really have to get my time down so I'm tortured for a shorter amount of time. ;)

My Program:
Tracking my food and workouts.

Trying to extend the amount of time I can live through a cardio workout.

Start finding ways to give myself more time for writing.

Personal Information:
Married for 23 years. We have 3 boys.

The oldest (age 26) is autistic and recently found a job after being out of work for most of last year after a bout of severe depression.

The middle son (affectionately called the boy) is 21 and studying creative writing and music in college. He made the Dean's List spring and this past fall semester. But then to keep us on our toes, was put on academic probation. Hoping for a strong return in the fall.

The youngest is 9. Yes, we did forget how that happens. He loves camping, baseball, basketball, running around, reading, telling stories.

Other Information:
I have alternate realities in my head that I write about. If I could get something published, that would be wonderful, but unlikely. Still going to give it a try though.

I read. My husband says I'm addicted, but I could stop any time I wanted to. Not likely to happen in my lifetime.

Hello!
I saw your post on the Spark Bookworms team.
I read that Justin Halpern book about 2 years ago; I got mine as a Kindle freebie, and like you, I was surprised at how much I liked it. Parts of it reminded me of my dad too.

This is my first visit to your page; I too, use to be one of those thin people who could eat whatever I wanted and not gain weight; that changed for me once I hit my 20's.

Oh, and I am a serious bookworm too!

Hope you had a fun vacation! After reading your recent book review on Book Club thread, I understand your frustration about rating books lower than many other people. I have actually given up on books that are 4-5 star rated! I guess that just shows that we are all different :) Thanks for being so consistent with your reviews~I always enjoy reading them.
