I just want to fit into my stuff again

I used to be one of those obnoxious people who could eat anything and never gain weight. I couldn't gain weight when that was the goal even. It's not longer the case and now I really have to start paying more attention to what I eat and what I do.

Other things - I'm in the process of doing a re-write on a book I hope to ultimately get published.

Spiritually - I consider myself a non-denominational pagan. ;)

I am seriously addicted to reading books. It's rare for me to be reading less than three books as a time. I am so addicted, that I recently decided to give in to the audiobook world. The 15 minute commute to work was just "free" time I wasn't reading.

My Goals:
The newest goal (as of 01-03-16) :

Restarting the C25K program. I hate running, but I hate that me knees make it almost impossible to run. I keep doing 5K's though so the plan is to start up again. The first one of the year is usually the last weekend in April. Starting the C25K on the 4th of January should get me on target for that. My last 5K was my best 5K time to date - 35:24. I'd like to be in that range for the first 5K on April 30th.

I'm trying to do little things more for my mental health now. I've been in maintenance for weight for years now. It's time to work on other things.

My Program:
Continuing to track workouts. If the weight starts to move too much, I'll track my food more intently.

Trying to keep improving my 5K times during the year.

I still want to write more, but I want to learn more as well. I'll be doing some free courses online, but I've also decided to try to learn German.

Personal Information:
Married for 24 years. We have 3 boys.

The oldest (age 27) is autistic and recently found a job after being out of work for most of last year after a bout of severe depression.

The middle son (affectionately called the boy) is 23 and studying creative writing and music in college.

The youngest is 10. Yes, we did forget how that happens. He loves camping, baseball, basketball, running around, reading, telling stories.

Other Information:
I have alternate realities in my head that I write about. If I could get something published, that would be wonderful, but unlikely. Still going to give it a try though.

I read. My husband says I'm addicted, but I could stop any time I wanted to. Not likely to happen in my lifetime.

Hi, I love your pics and 5K stories. I just ran my 1st one at 57 and came in around 39 min. Not bad for me. I'd like to do more but my hamstring isn't agreeing with me. Maybe next year. I don't love running but like doing something different (than spinning) and helping out good causes.

Hi! it was really weird about the eclipse - I didn't lose sleep over it - and hadn't intended to be awake to see it - but 'something' just woke me up at 01.58 and I thought "it must be about to happen" - so I had a mug of chamomile tea and sat and watched it - the moon was entirely eclipsed in 1hr here. I watched the whole thing. I didn't wait another hour to see it emerge again - and went back to sleep happy that I'd seen it. It felt very special.

Thanks for the welcome and the Sparkgoodie! Good luck on the re-write! I have a novel that's sitting ignored on my computer where it will stay until I retire from teaching. I admire you!

I have a feeling you'll get this cooler weather soon. We were very hot last weekend (finally hit 90) and then yesterday, we were never out of the 60s. Two warmer days and we are right back to those 60s. I don't really mind. Fall is definitely my favorite of the seasons.
