I just want to fit into my stuff again

I used to be one of those obnoxious people who could eat anything and never gain weight. I couldn't gain weight when that was the goal even. It's not longer the case and now I really have to start paying more attention to what I eat and what I do.

Other things - I'm in the process of doing a re-write on a book I hope to ultimately get published.

Spiritually - I consider myself a non-denominational pagan. ;)

I am seriously addicted to reading books. It's rare for me to be reading less than three books as a time. I am so addicted, that I recently decided to give in to the audiobook world. The 15 minute commute to work was just "free" time I wasn't reading.

My Goals:
The newest goal (as of 1-10-2014) :

I "ran" my first 5K on June 9th, 2013. I have flexible knees and apparently that is one place it's not good to be flexible. I've tried to do the C25K training twice since with the same pain coming back. I would like to make the Irish Cultural Fair 5K an annual event, but I don't know if that is practical at this point.

I am trying to maintain my current weight range.

As far as my work-out routine goes, I go to the gym Monday, Wednesday, and Friday before work. I do cardio for 20-35 minutes, a little bit of strength training, mostly upper body/arm kinds of things with equipment I don't have at home. I alsways do my physical therepy stretches as well.

When my middle son goes back to school, I plan on adding Pilates back into my exercise routine on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. Sunday, I usually just aim for 10 minutes of cardio, but often seem to be able to get 20 or more in.

On more of a mental he

My Program:
Tracking my food and workouts.

Trying to extend the amount of time I can live through a cardio workout.

Start finding ways to give myself more time for writing.

Personal Information:
Married for 22 years. We have 3 boys.

The oldest (age 25) is autistic and recently found a job after being out of work for most of last year after a bout of severe depression.

The middle son (affectionately called the boy) is 21 and studying creative writing and music in college. He made the Dean's List spring and this past fall semester.

The youngest is 8. Yes, we did forget how that happens. He loves camping, baseball, basketball, running around, reading, telling stories.

Other Information:
I have alternate realities in my head that I write about. If I could get something published, that would be wonderful, but unlikely. Still going to give it a try though.

Rodney Yee has great YOGA DVD's. He is a BKS Iyengar instructor.

Priscilla Patrick, who is now 72, has her Yoga videos on YouTube from her PBS series and they are still wonderful. Her web site is at YogaOne(dot)com

Priscilla told how she got into Yoga back in the late 60s when he injured her back & the doctors on the military base in Okinawa couldn't help with her awful pain, but one told her "Go to the local Yoga Master and see if he can help." She said she was willing to do anything, and went. Six weeks later she was pain free and was sold on a lifetime of Yoga. She started teaching Yoga on the local base TV station and got into being an instructor from that.

Tell your husband to keep working out.
