Finding Health

I have spent a lot of time in my life being overweight, unhealthy, and as a result unhappy.

Being healthy is about doing things that are good for YOUR body. It's a learning process, and I'm still a student. At my highest, non-pregnancy weight, I was 220ish. I've never been afraid of exercise, but I didn't get nearly as much as I should for a long time. Now, as a pretty faithful runner, and licensed Zumba instructor, that part has changed.

Now, I'm trying my best to eat right for MY body (grain and gluten free) and reach a place where I feel fit, healthy & happy! It's within reach, and I hope to continue educating myself so I can make the most of living!

Never lose sight of what it took to get me to goal, and work on continually making good health decisions.

My Program:
~Teach zumba 4-6x week

~Limit gluten, starches & sugar

~Limit processed foods in favor of lean protein, fruits & veggies

~Keep running, working up to possibly a half marathon on 5/20/12

Personal Information:
~I'm a 38 year old working mom. (geez, where has time gone?)

~To keep my sanity, I read whenever I can-and enjoy being creative.

I often say "I drank the Kool-Aid" when referring to my love of Zumba... but DAMN, there are some people that have gone and OVERDOSED. LMAO (Including a whole bunch of my Zumba circle of friends! Oy!)

I wasn't really excited to go to Convention this year... Summer was supposed to be my DOWN TIME from Zumba (from 6 classes a week to 2!) I'm actually glad it's over! (can you believe I said that?) Yes, I CAN!

What really bothers me is how some girls stalk the ZES! Or even BETO! GAH... how old are we????
I can't stand that immature behaviour! And this is why I need to go to Convention with older women! LOL

I didn't want to say this out loud... but Convention this year wasn't even CLOSE to as exciting as last year!

Sean Paul was a HUGE dissapointment (to me!) I spent that concert watching an impromptu dance-off that spontaneously occured in my area of the dancefloor. SP's new songs are slow, and did not inspire me to dance one bit! :(

I also realized that the clothing at the shop was HIGHER priced then the clothes on the Canadian Zumba website! COME AGAIN??? I flew all the way there to pay MORE (and in US funds)????? I don't think so!!!

I need a break from it all! Back to the regularly scheduled program :)
