Finding Health

I have spent a lot of time in my life being overweight, unhealthy, and as a result unhappy.

Being healthy is about doing things that are good for YOUR body. It's a learning process, and I'm still a student. At my highest, non-pregnancy weight, I was 220ish. I've never been afraid of exercise, but I didn't get nearly as much as I should for a long time. Now, as a pretty faithful runner, and licensed Zumba instructor, that part has changed.

Now, I'm trying my best to eat right for MY body (grain and gluten free) and reach a place where I feel fit, healthy & happy! It's within reach, and I hope to continue educating myself so I can make the most of living!

My Goals:
Never lose sight of what it took to get me to goal, and work on continually making good health decisions.

My Program:
~Teach zumba 4-6x week

~Limit gluten, starches & sugar

~Limit processed foods in favor of lean protein, fruits & veggies

~Keep running, working up to possibly a half marathon on 5/20/12

Personal Information:
~I'm a 38 year old working mom. (geez, where has time gone?)

~To keep my sanity, I read whenever I can-and enjoy being creative.

YEP! As for me, I've been skinnier and normal and happy before these health issues, and I've dropped down to 201.5 since starting the elimination diet, but I've been hovering at 202 for around a week so I think it might be time to start tracking amount of intake again since I've made I think all the loss I can expect from just changing food type - maybe. We'll see what happens. I just want to feel healthy and fit again and not blobby. That's all. I don't want to be some ab model - I know that isn't realistic for me. :)*HUGS* Happy you are in that place to accept the healthy body you have NOW.
