Here is where we all say how we want to feel better, look great for the beach, fit into that wedding dress, etc. But let's be blunt for a moment: I am in my early to mid 40's and started this journey close to 400 pounds. I am a deskbound computer programmer who makes online sports games for a living. In my spare time I am active in community theatre (when I can get a role, not many for men this age and size) and I am part of an improv comedy troupe that performs once a month (at least fat is funny!).

I am fighting high blood pressure and diabetes, plus atrial fibrillation which makes exercise difficult. If I had lost this weight 7-8 years ago I wouldn't have any of these.

My Goals:
- Keep fasting blood sugar under 110
- Wean myself off diabetic meds
- 352 lbs achieved 8-29-2012
- 330 lbs achieved 10-28-2012
- 300 lbs achieved 8-15-2013
- Long term goal: 193 or so by 9/1/2015, representing 200 pounds lost and about half of my body weight.

My Program:
Walking 2-3 miles a day 5 times a week, cutting out sugars and starches, increasing fiber, putting half as much food on my plate, and stop late-night snacking. Right now I am targeting 1600-1800 calories a day.
