Celeste'

Hi my name is Celeste'.
Sparks has taught me about calories and exercise which are a BIG part of fixing the problem. I did well with this.

However, this year I have to come in from a different angle, one where I dont let male compliments send me scurrying back to emotional safety of fat layers. I have to tell myself they are just that "compliments" not molestation proposals. Emotional scars run deep, but not so deep that they cant be fixed. Well Im hoping that statement ...

My Goals:
I only have two goals this year.

1) To arm myself against fear of being complimented and gaining the weight again.

2) Taking time for myself and making others responsible for themselves in every facit of life.

My Program:
I've changed to eating healthy foods.
Very much smaller portions but more often.

Personal Information:
I have happily been one of Jehovah's Witnesses since 1975.
I live in a little but beautiful town called George in South Africa.
I moved here 20 years ago and want to live no where else.
I met my beloved husband here, and for me that rates George in my very good books.

Other Information:
I love learning new things esp relating to health.
I currently do iridology, reflexology, acupressure and massage therapy. My interest in medicine began when I nursed my younger sister till her death with colon cancer. Its a case of wish I knew then what I know now, but cant turn back the hands of time.

Your challenge walks (or whatever you folks called them) come to mind as experiences one would remember! I thought they were amazing hikes..and wonderful since so many family members came too!

Loved your comments on the blog...thanks for visiting/posting. Wish it were that easy to ride a bike or walk to anything from where I live! I walk for exercise and supposedly live in the country, but I dodge cars and trucks..some of whom drive like maniacs.

I came so close to being able to fly to you. It goes like this. When hubby worked in Dubai, he used to collect flying miles. So I started saving the miles to convert and since my step sister now lives in England...I started seeing the whole plan as doable. Then the wheels fell off and my dil passed away, which left me playing full time mommy to Axel and that ended that plan. I finally donated the flying miles to a youngster in Bethel.

I day dreamed about coming to SA for our 50th anniversary..in five years..but don't think I could convince Hubby to travel..never mind that far! Closest I have come to ironing with a friend was at quilting classes. Camaraderie does make mundane chores more fun. emoticon emoticon
