Finding bounce and energy
I'm 49 and my job means a very sedentary lifestyle. In 3 years with Spark, I've gone from slug to strong, but the battle with my inner sloth continues! Year 1 mission: lose muffin top, get stronger and fitter. Joined the gym, 3x 1 hour cardio a week, cal counting. Result: lost weight, gained strength, energy still low. Year 2 mission: Find more energy and overcome natural sloth tendencies. Gave up booze, 3x 1/2 hour cardio a week, started running and hooping. Result: ...
I'm 49 and my job means a very sedentary lifestyle. In 3 years with Spark, I've gone from slug to strong, but the battle with my inner sloth continues! Year 1 mission: lose muffin top, get stronger and fitter. Joined the gym, 3x 1 hour cardio a week, cal counting. Result: lost weight, gained strength, energy still low. Year 2 mission: Find more energy and overcome natural sloth tendencies. Gave up booze, 3x 1/2 hour cardio a week, started running and hooping. Result: weight gain but greater strength and energy. Year 3 mission (underway): Find more energy, get back to thin. Trying for shorter, more frequent exercise, not so tiring. Also Lyn-Genet's The Plan, cut out most caffeine and dairy, more fruit, water. Lost a few pounds, definitely more energy.

My Goals:
Get back down to 140 by end of March - DONE! Shoot for 135 by end of April. Run a 10K in the summer.
My Program:
1. Exercise 3x a week - gym, jogging, boxercise. 2. ST 2x a week. 3. No alcohol. 4. No carry outs. 5. No caffeine. 6. The Plan. Occasional lapses allowed!
