Gonna do it this time...

Ok I've been doing this for a really long time now and it's going to be like this for the rest of my life probably.

my story...

I've been trying to lose weight for over 75% of my life. I've never known what it is like to be at a healthy weight. I struggle with emotional eating, binge eating and thoughtless eating. I am starting to take a bit of control now and through that control I hope to finally lose weight. It's not coming off fast, but I'm sticking with it ...

I guess I'm ready to face the loooong road ahead of me. I wish I could lose it faster but losing it permanently is more important.

Lisa, thanks for dropping by. I'm going to post my final night post tonight but thought I'd drop by and let you know that after my first day of Phase 2, when I woke up this morning I was down 7.6 pounds!

And have energy... have had it all day long... no hunger pangs and copious amounts of green tea.

You can do it!

My FI had no sense of rhythm either! But he really wanted to change that. He started listening to songs and trying to figure out the beat. He listened to techno first (easy!), and waltz isn't too hard either. He has trouble with some country song still, but he's really SO much better. It just takes practice, careful listening and a desire to try.
Now he's working on learning phrasing. When you begin a dance (or when you screw up and have to start over) it's best to start at the beginning of a musical phrase, and right now he can't find that place. As the woman I can help, but I can't lead, so he has to learn!
Anyway, I hope you guys have tons of fun, it's a great activity that we can do together for the rest of our lives. We've found that after taking 5 private lessons we just want more- we're in a group class now, and we've been going to workshops and practice parties about every other week too. I hope it lasts :)
