I Am A Fighter, I Am A Warrior, I will Not Give Up Or Give IN!!!!

Hello and welcome to my page. I started out here on SP weighing 210 in September 2011. I wanted to lose 60 in a year. Well I lost 20 pounds by the end of 2011 with adding exercising and eating more fruit and vegetables and eating way less fast food and junk food. By changing how and what I eat I have gone on to lose over 40 pounds by December 2015.

I am married to a very supportive man who is also losing weight and with his help I think I can do this. I love to cook and he inspires me to make low cal meals.

I challenge myself to make better choices to become stronger healthier and a better person. I find that pushing myself to be healthier every day is practical. I use steaks to motivate myself and count my calories.

I have learned to love exercising. I walk most every day and do strength training 3 times a week. I like joining exercise challenges and testing myself to be stronger and healthier

I look forward to learning more things every year to be a good role model to others on this journey.

My wish for you today is that you would have as many successes as you can stand in just one day!

Hi Kathryn,
I was born in Little Falls, NY, lived in Goshen, NY, graduated from High School in Dryden, NY. Went to college and met my husband in Potsdam, NY. Moved to Albany, NY then bought a home in Schenectady, NY. Lived there for 18 years. Lived there the longest. And now I reside in Katy, Texas. That should keep your globe busy for a minute or two!
Cheers,
Nancy emoticon

Here's a page on the research I mentioned. I don't eat a lot of some of the foods recommended to very much limit, but I eat Mexican and Asian fast food fairly often. I loves my bean-and-cheese burritos! And cheese-an ounce at a time- several times a week. And sometimes a lot of sweets at a time. Funny how the paleo people insist on no grains and MIND says three servings a day of whole grains. And lots of beef. Aargh, these discrepancies never bothered me that much before because it was just about feeling that I was getting variety, that I felt better when I kept the amounts down, etc. But this is rather a big deal. I guess we just never know until it's too late that we may have come down on the wrong side.
