Hello and welcome to my page. I started out here on SP weighing 210 in September 2011. I wanted to lose 60 in a year. Well I lost 20 pounds by the end of 2011 with adding exercising, eating more fruits, vegetables and eating way less fast food. By changing how and what I eat I have gone on to lose over 50 pounds by Aug. 2016.

I am married to a very supportive man who is also losing weight and with his help I think I can do this. I love to cook and he inspires me to make low cal meals.

I challenge myself to make better choices to become stronger healthier and a better person. I find that pushing myself to be healthier every day is practical. I use steaks to motivate myself and count my calories.

I have learned to love exercising. I walk most every day. I like joining exercise challenges and testing myself to be stronger and healthier

I look forward to learning more things every year to be a good role model to others on this journey.

Lovely news! Having Thanksgiving dinner ready to share tomorrow with Ron emoticon Plus, almost all the necessary things for him to be taken special care at your home. Only you could do all this emoticon That's true love, my friend. emoticon Happy Thanksgiving!

Went to my mom's place, she gets very happy to see us. She's happy there, that's comforting. We are having the last days of the rainy season with Otto, a tropical storm now.

Kathryn, I'm glad it didn't turn out worse for you at the store! Sometimes people are in such a hurry!

I'm also glad that you've got pretty much everything ready to have Ron back home with you. It has been a long time and very stressful for both of you. Keep your chin up, it's going to work out!

    Dear Kathryn,
Glad to hear from you and know that everything is moving positively forward with Ron emoticon It's amazing how strong and determined you are. You should be totally proud of yourself. I'm proud of you!! Any probable date for Ron to go home?
I was MIA because we went to San Francisco, CA, as I told you way back. It was a very interesting enjoyable trip. The weather was delightful between 60º to low 70º's. We opted for a city pass which included all of the public transportation we wanted to use for the 7 days there, including the lovely cable cars. We were there for the elections! The food was awesome. We came back this past Sunday after 12 hours (most during night time) in planes.
