MY LIFESTYLE IS CHANGED. IT HAS TO BE.
Committed to fitness through the following activities:
Hiking, Walking, Running, Snow Shoe, X-Country Ski, Biking, Camping, Back-Packing, most anything outdoors.
There's a difference between interest and commitment. When you're interested in doing something, you do it only when it's convenient. When you're committed to something, you accept no excuses; only results."
Live your life as though you are obligated to make the world a better place. Make a difference today, be the one!
My main goal is to be happy, healthy, strong and as alive as I can be.
I don't have a specific program. I think about and watch what I eat. I do lots of different things to get my exercise. Running and hiking are the biggies. I also love biking, camping and kayaking. Winter is time for snow shoes and XC skis.

Knowing how to configure your pump is a good start for a flat tire. I got new inner tubes last summer, and in introduction to Pesta valves. I needed to flip two pieces of my pump, but didn't realize that one of them even was removeable. I know better now, and I'm all set. Plus, my good Samaritan left me with an adapter, in case I found myself with only a Schrader valve style pump in the future.

Thank you for reading so many days of my blog series.
Wow, I just noticed that you are running Steamtown. The starting line is Forest City, the town where my parents were born. I attended the high school there the first year it opened (1961-62). My family life was in flux and I lived with my grandmother briefly before returning to NYC.
After you run down the hill from the HS you will pass a little white church (St John's) on the corner of Maxey St and Susquehanna. My parents were married there in 1943.
It's a great race. My DD#2 did it back in 1999. I was able to see her several times on the course since I knew all the back roads.
