2013 update: Yes I've been on Spark for what seems like forever. No I am not at a "goal" weight. Yes I continue to struggle. Yes I am continuing to push forward.
Over the past year I have been nursing a misdiagnosed injury. I let that injury and subsequent months of PT get me down and depressed and stuck. Yes it still hurts. I'm coming to accept it might always hurt. I will keep pushing forward.
I recently moved across the country to California to live a new life adventure. I live with 5 other people who do not share the same ideas about heath and positive living that I do. It is a struggle. This is me continuing to progress.
Love yourself first and everything else falls into line. You really have to love yourself to get anything done in this world.

Reminding myself to take care of the inches and knowing that the miles will happen!


I realized recently that I have been wallowing in the fact that I am fat and that all I wanted was to be rid of the fat. But that's not it...what I want is to be healthy. Fat or thin. I want to be healthy. I don't want to be like some of my family with heart disease and hbp or have to have joints replaced at an early age.
I also remembered what I felt like the last time I was getting healthy...except that I was on some crazy unsustainable diet...I was full of energy and life. That's what I want back.
