Being the Change

My motto is: "Be the change you wish to see in the world" by Gandhi.
There is so much wonderful in this world I want to keep working until all of it is beautiful and wonderful.

First I must continue to work on myself. Getting healthy, Getting Greener in all actions and being Positive in all areas. All this to be an inspiration to others around me and make everywhere in this world a wonderful and healthy place in which to be.

I will be 53 this year and ...

I will be 53 this year and emotionally I totter between feeling like I am in my twenty's with so much I want to accomplish and do to 60's with all the decisions of growing older brings.
Physically I look younger most people think I am 10 years younger.I attribute this to being a little plump- my wrinkles don't show as bad and never had the stress of a marriage. I do however do not physically feel like I am in my 50's either- the best of it all.

I am blessed I have a wonderful daughter and granddaughter. My mother is still here and is facing multiple challenges of getting older. I have a fantastic Aunt. all of which I stay in contact and see on a regular basis.

Personal Information:
I live in South Bend, Indiana and work at Notre Dame University. I work at the South Dining hall which has many temptations everyday but also numerous healthy options.
I just finished with my Bachelors Degree in General Studies and a Minor in Sustainability from Indiana University at South Bend! Walking May 7th 2013
I also have an Associates Degree in Business Administration & Management and in Computer programming.

I have one daughter, Penelope.

Thanks for stopping by my blog "Sometimes It's the Little Things" -- and I can relate to not wanting to get up early in the morning. It used to be I would wake up much earlier during the summer hours here in Phoenix, because it gets light early, and it gets hot fast. If you want to walk at all outdoors, it had better be before 7:00 a.m. (sometimes even that is too late as the temps are already triple digit.)

I certainly do not do it every day, today I did, and was worn out by early afternoon. But I consciously try to do it maybe three times a week, for the sake of my dog as she can't go to the gym, and she needs the exercise to keep her arthritis from acting up.

Hope your day is going well -- a little is better than nothing. Remember, it's the Little Things.

Hi! It's not so much that I'm limiting how many I am, I just tend to only "keep" people who are active and motivate me. I really love talking to everyone, but I'm actually very shy and I don't participate a lot in the communities. Thank you for adding me - I'm looking forward to our future conversations!
