I've lost 50lbs before through sparkpeople, but since having a baby and trying to fit weight-loss in with my everyday life and responsibilities--I'm stuck. I don't know how long it will take me, but more important than any number on a scale, I want to love myself and feel alive. I want my food to be about nourishment and not emotions. I want to exercise because I like to feel strong, not because its a punishment for being "fat." I want to bust through the old negative tapes in my head telling me that I'm not good enough. I am enough and I will find my way.

Hi Kristen,

I am sorry to hear about putting your grandma in a nursing home. That is hard. But I am glad she'll be around people who can watch her. And dang, girl! You are doing too much!!! I hope that you are able to tack a step back and breathe, as well as start feeling better.

Thanks for the comment on my blog. I will send the magic weight loss fairy your way if she ever visits, lol!

Welcome back. I've missed you too. I took a major sparkbreak myself and over the years have gained back almost 60 of the pounds I had lost. emoticon But last June, I took the bull by the horns and lost 20+ pounds, bringing me out of the 'obese' category. I've been stuck for a few months now in the mid 170's, but that's better than in June, when I was about to hit the 200 club again!

Anyway, all best for your health and work!!!

Cheers,
Heidi

Hi Kristen,

Thanks for your comment on my blog. You're right! And people did have a great time. I've been asked to participate in a holocaust memorial in Vienna next year with that jazz group, so I must be doing something right. And mean people do suck, hahaha - especially when you can't avoid them because they are your MIL!

Thanks again,
Heidi

Hi Kristen,

Sorry to hear that your abs are not cooperating. I would have thought that singing would strengthen them? I'm glad you've found another musical outlet, though. That's great! How's life otherwise? How's your baby?

Cheers,
Heidi

Hi Kristen,

Thanks for stopping by, and for your comment. Yes, I totally know what you mean! ;)

Cheers,
Heidi
P.S. I just finished doing a cover for Lucia in the UK. Are you singing?
