So glad you made the jump and started your new life !! It is so friendly, nobody judges, no snarky remarks,, just humor, suggestions and tons of info. Lots of recipes, the boot camp videos are great,, everything is at your pace, in your privacy, BUT sometimes you can actually MEET others here!! I see that you are from Illinois.. If you go to that site, ask if there is somebody form your city(Chicago, Rock Island, etc...).. I have met two other members in my local team,, ,, we went shopping a few times, it is like you have known the people for so long..
DO not get discouraged , this is a baby-steps approach,,, some people are on weight watchers, go to gyms, curves,etc... others, like me, work out at home, do their own thing, BUT when you share stuff you do, others will encourage you, congratulate you.. regardless of how small the thing!!
IF you do not mind, I will add you as a friend and my daughter is also a member of the asthma group we are in,,she is tweetykc00, is 27 and we both have asthma.. take your time, this site is enormous and can get overwhelming,, I still have not navigated everywhere,, but is is a very safe site, no spam from it,, very seldom do people use their last names because anybody can come here and read things, but your spark name keeps you anonymous,, just a suggestion .. Have fun and always feel free to ask anybody anything,, if they don't know , they will send you to someone who does.. Linda
