My journey with weight loss is pretty typical I guess. I love food, I have an addictive personality, I love vegging out to tv, I drink way too much regular soda and I tend to be lazy. I know this sounds harsh but I know in my heart it is true and it is also what needs to change.
At this point (a month before my 49th birthday) I weigh 157.1 pound, have sleep apnea and high blood pressure. These are all things that I have done to myself.
In the past Spark has helped me lose a lot of weight and then I found it again. The thing is I keep trying and I know one of these times it is going to stick!
I want to be 50 lbs lighter a year from now, I think that is the best 50th birthday present I could give myself!

*educate myself more on health, nutrition and fitness
*learn how to help others to reach their goals
*Help my husband lose weight
*learn how to become a published writer

My Program:
is to stick to my walking program and improve my speed and distance
eat smaller portions and be more mindful of what I eat
track both food and exercise
and read an article or part of a book that will help me reach my goal at least 3 times a week,

Personal Information:
My name is Cherie Putterman and I live in a suburb of Milwaukee Wi. I have been fighting weight problems.addictive personality and an over eating disorder as long as I can remember.
I have 6 wonderful children who I love and am very proud of. I work as a veterinary receptionist and most days I love it. I have a lot of pets of my own 2 dogs, a cat, a rabbit and 10 rats.
I love reading,writing, kayaking and hiking although my weight has been getting in the way lately and the latter of the 2 make me feel like I am dying when I do them.

Other Information:
I am so happy to be part of Sparkpeople, I have come back so many times and each time I find friendship and support. If I would learn to not turn my back (or not turn off the computer notifications) I know I would find my way to my goals!
