I thought that I had moved around the Boston area a lot since I moved here, but you put me to shame. You've been all over the place. Sorry that Everett is noisy - that's one thing I don't worry about much in Quincy, it's pretty quiet and quaint - almost to a fault, not much action. lol.

Before I lived in Boston, I lived in Jackson, MS for about 3 years and went to a yuppie private college down there. I hated Mississippi and the area was so backwards it was painful. I was born and raised in New Orleans and really love that city, but after Katrina - I don't know if it will ever recover and be worth me living there again. All my family is there and I love the southern hospitality and charm, but I don't like the small-minded, judging mentality. I'm torn, though, because this area is sooo accepting, but it's really hard to meet people and/or actually become friends. I've been here for years, but have no roots other than a dreadful ex...

That sounds like a pretty cool job and a solid promotion after 8 months is awesome. I work in the medical field... as a nurses' aid and a medical secretary. I haven't been working recently due to my medical issues. I'm hoping to eventually finish some kind of degree in nursing (I've been working on it for the better part of a decade) and get a job I can actually do with my issues. What college did you go to in Waltham?

Thanks for my goodie! I have been in the Boston area since January 2004. I've lived in Cambridge, Medford, Dorchester and now Quincy for almost 2 years. I like this area a lot, about as much as I liked the Medford area. The northshore was cool, although I didn't spend too much time in Everett.

What do you do at MGH?
