There's a reason for this photo~
I came to SparkPeople on December 28th, 2012. I was 235lbs when I decided to give this a whirl. I struggled and the more I struggled, the less weight would disappear. Then, all hell broke loose in my family. Late in 2012, my mother became ill to the extent that I was fearful of losing her. She's still here! Then in 2013, my baby brother (who is handicapped, not my biological brother, and fought chronic bowel obstruction) became extremely ill. He, my mother and myself spent over 200 days in the hospital with about 90 of those days in an unspectacular unspecialized special needs nursing unit as they thought. Had he remained there much longer, he would already be dead. He was removed and taken to another hospital and was immediately placed in ICU! He is currently in home hospice and his length of time expected cannot be numbered. However, as he became more and more ill, my weight went up and up.
I topped at 262 :-(
It became not only an embarrassment for myself but was literally a pain and added pains.
That changed when my brother''''s body refused to accept more than 250-300 calories a day. Now, granted I am unable to maintain such a limited amount of calories but I have significantly and drastically reduced my intake. If you've made it this far, I'll let you know that I started at 235, the last couple of days of 2012, went up to 262, and for today, January 4, 2015, my weigh-in is 201.8.
Goal 1: Lose weight
Goal 2: Accept myself
Goal 3: Exercise w/o too much pain
Goal 4: Re-enter the dating scene
Goal 5: Have someone I don't know (preferably an unattached male!) tell me I am beautiful! =)
I try not to go over my nutrition points and drink 64oz/1.89L of water in a day. I'm still working on exercising 10 minutes (or more) a day. Pain is a constant hindrance.
I'm a Kentucky girl born and bred. I have three tats - one on my shoulder, one on my ankle and one on the top of my foot. I want another one but don't know where to put it. I love cats. I play the piano & have been a church pianist since I was 9. Last year I stepped down and haven't found a church that needs me. I teach piano and currently have 1 student. If you want to know more, feel free to ask =) I just may answer your question ;-)
After silence, that which comes nearest to expressing the inexpressible is music.

Music is time made audible.
--Susanne K. Langer
For me, music is not notes, not chords, for me music is atmosphere. And what you bring to it is your own life.

Mischiefboi's Quote of Motivation :
Motivation is like a car.
When it stalls, just let it coast down hill a- ways.
Then pop the clutch, give it a little gas &there it goes
Ready to drive up the next hill.

Ah, Spring is in the air. Lovely allergies come in from everywhere.
A young lad's dream of cookin' vittles outside..WHOOSH went the fire with flames as tall as the house. Well, you don't really need a set of complete eyebrows, do ya?
