My Goals:
My goal is to adopt and maintain a healthier overall lifestyle. I also need to lose 25 pounds, although I've made my current goal 15 lbs. Maybe if I attempt this in smaller bites, I'll have some success.
Met Goal #1: 15 lbs. gone!
Onto Goal #2...lose 5 more.
Run a 5K - Done. 6/16/13

My Program:
I do the Insanity workout DVDs when I have time, and when I have less time and/or less energy I do Jilian Michaels 30 minute Body Revolution workout. I also have a treadmill, a stationary bike, and dumbbells. I need to incorporate these into my workout, as well.

Personal Information:
My name is Sharon and this is my third try at sticking to the Spark Program. I feel more determined this time. I've decided that with two teenage boys, who are quite busy with their own lives, and one husband, who is also very busy working and following his dreams, I need to start focusing on myself a bit.

I'm an elementary school Reading Specialist and Dyslexia Specialist. I feel that what I do is valuable, although I don't always feel valued. I try to overlook that part of the job and focus on my students. They are great!

I grew up on Long Island, but moved to Pennsylvania as a very young adult. I've been here ever since.

I'd love to connect with other middle-aged women who have succeeded in making positive changes in their weight and in their lives.

Other Information:
I began my streak on Jan. 20, 2014. Drink 8 glasses of water a day and exercise for at least 10 minutes everyday.

Thank you for your kind open door gift, Sharon, and your warm wishes on this next chapter of Pierre and my life together. :)

Sadly, our getting married doesn't change a lot, so I'm continuing the hoop-jumping, attempting to get a new work permit... we shall see how things go.

Back on the treadmill today after an exercise hiatus. So ready to be able to be outside more, as I'm sure you are, as well.

in answer to your question...

I start each day... with prayer and meditation... then choose a focus point... that helps bring me back to the positive in any given situation...

also... To keep from creating a state of denial... I also deal with what ever issues come up during my morning meditations... I acknowledge them ... some I come up with dicisions.. then I CHOOSE my focus point to put my energies into....

and when it comes to loosing weight... I figure my weight is a reflection of what is going on inside me.... so I am working on the inside along side working on the outside of myself..
