Don't want to start over anymore!

I've been on about every diet out there. I'm at the point now where I want to just stop dieting and start doing the right things.
I'm 44 years old, married to a great man and have a 21 year old son, Tyler, he was a Corporal in the United States Marine Corps and was deployed to Afghanistan in April 2013 (update: returned to US soil unharmed Oct 21st, 2014). He is now out of the Marine Corps and attending UNC.

I am an RN in an Emergency Room…and I love it. I want to learn once and for all how to eat and how to move for my health.

I've been a member of SparkPeople since 2005, but have not utilized it to its full potential, which I am now ready to do! I will for sure have something to show before my 10 year Spark mark...I have made a promise to myself!

I give thanks to God, the Father, for you as I pray for you today. May you know by experience God’s grace, spiritual favor and BLESSing today and every day, having heart peace from God the Eternal Father – that peaceful state of trust in Him to which He calls us; that soul harmony with Him that umpires life choices, heart desires, and questions of the mind. May He settle us with faith to trust Him. Have a BLESSed Thanksgiving, rested in Father. Loving you in Christ, Darlene.

Worry over the future breeds anxiety. Fretting over the past breeds depression. Both can stop our good movement forward and put us in front of the TV with a bad movie and too much of the stuff we don’t need to put into our bodies. That horrid cycle, of course, breeds regret and dread that brings us to more of the same. I believe that is called “insanity”.

Instead work to stay in the present taking the next step needed for living to the full the “now” that is before you, having learned better ways from past experience and pushing forward with hope that right action now will produce a better tomorrow. This is living life with power that produces a good outcome and protects our journey from wasting away.

Plan for the future, yes; but let the first plan be to live your best you in the now you have to possess.
